If not already then very soon any kid that is an athletic/mobile 6'4 to 6'7 will be learning point guard. Even in the league, you're seeing non point guards like Ant Edwards become the primary ball handler and they're trying their damndest on the low with Amen Thompson. Kidd flat out said they gon try to do the same with Flagg.

Ultimately, the more prevalent the Shai, Luka, Cade, LaMelo, Haliburton "oversized pg" archetype becomes, naturally the less value a Darius Garland or Trae Young will have. Even someone like Maxey or Brunson, they'll have to be so efficient offensively to offset how badly they'll compromise their team everytime down defensively/on the boards, just off their height alone.
