It depends how people define harmful. Or to the degree that they think it's impactful.
I've read that most people with mental illness (whichever they may be) tend to be more of a danger to themselves than to others.
But since when is that relevant?

If an illness exists, it exists.
There are high-functioning people with autism. They're still autistic.
