about his tours of duty in Nam.
One of the craziest being about how
when he was green the platoon leader
told them to always look up at the flares
when they went off and never down......( Important later )
They had a two to four mile trek through
pitch black jungle that had mud with suction
that could pull your boot off!!!
He said that everytime a flare went off they
were like meerkats looking into the sky
and that every now and then you'd hear
the most terrifying scream ever heard.
He said one night a flare went off and
he finally realized what would inspire
such a scream of terror.
He'd made the mistake of looking'down
and saw that it wasnt thick mud but
bloody bodies as far as the light reached.
(And yes.......he Screamed)
