This kinda thinking became the norm in Spring 1992 after K won two straight and Dean Smith was still stuck on one measly title after coaching at UNC for 30 years and getting all the best recruits every year. That's when they switched the focus to NBA production instead of what's going on in college.

Oddly enough, now UNC fans don't wanna talk pros and only wanna focus on college. Funny how all this works.

FWIW, Duhon stuck around the NBA for a decade. Lotta big name PGs from a lotta big names programs ain't hang that long and a lot didn't make it at all. So, there's that, too. Ask a Maryland fan about John Gilchrist. Ask a Cuse about Jonny Flynn. Or McNamara. Or Scoop. Or Lazarus.
