Babyfaces are who the crowd cheers for against heels. None of those guys were tweeners. They were in fact mostly the top babyfaces during their runs. The idea that the good guy has to be smiling happy go lucky Leave it to Beaver shyt hasn't even been a thing in comics pre-dating DC all together. All those pulp dudes like The Phantom and The Shadow were unambiguously the protagonist and good guy, even if they were merking dudes left and right. Batman was also killing dudes for like 2 years in. The last guy he killed was hanging a dude with a noose hanging from a helicopter. He was still unambiguously the good guy.

Yeah I gotta agree. There’s different types of good guys. Whether it’s stone cold cursing and drinking beer or John Cena hugging cancer patients, it’s all still babyface.
You can always tell true tweeners because their interactions with the crowd fluctuates depending on if they’re getting cheered or booed. Miz was doing it at one point. One week he’d be saying stuff for cheap pops and the next he’d be calling the city they were in a dump. It all depended on the reaction in that moment

That's not entirely true as in some instances Batman came off just as bad as the bad guys he was trying to take down.
In one particular instance, he intentionally let Johnny Quick sacrifice just didn't end up having to be The Flash to do it.
In the case of wrestling, someone like Cena pokes a whole in your narrative as he's everything that WWE wanted a babyface to be.

It doesn't poke a hole in my narrative at all. The super Leave it to Beaver face can also be a face that crowds love, but you may recall crowds did NOT like Cena for a big chunk of his run as that guy. Crowds also did NOT like Roman's big face run, either. But, my point was it doesn't matter what the face is or isn't doing. If the crowd is cheering them over heels, they are babyfaces was my point. Even if they're dikkheads or cheaters.

That Brock thing was so weird. He had a great two-year run that revitalized his career, then he came back and acted like the same old boring Suplex City Lesnar I was sick of years ago. Was part of the retirement tour reenacting SummerSlam 2014? Because I didn't need that.

It makes me wonder what the plan was if Naomi didn't get pregnant. Was she going to lose the title to Stephanie anyway? You're right that she has nobody to face right now, unless Asuka bullies her way into a title match. I would love seeing that. I don't see Rhea getting back in the title picture for a while, or Iyo for that matter. Maybe they could try elevating someone (like Lyra) or they could give Bayley a title shot. Just something interesting since she has no one to face.
Another idea is that Becky challenges her and you do champion vs. champion (but only Stephanie's title is on the line). If I was a heel, I would want to go after the rookie immediately. Especially if I'm a veteran with experience. But most likely, Triple H is going to cool her off after this and she'll probably defend the title against Raquel on a random Monday.
