They still need to get that OL together.

But Trubisky can't be as bad as Ben was last year.

Are you out of your mind!!??!!!!

Whut!?!!!!

We don't have good draft position because ben ass never tanked like we needed to tank for the past three four years.

This season.
With four games to go.
I was for sure we would not be in the offs..thinking we won to many games.
We this last season was whwn we needed to for sure tank.

Instead.
I turn on the tv.
Come playoffs....
We in the fukk'n playoffs.

It is a nightmare.

When ben is making this some dream season in the wrong season.

shyt ben wins when we needed to intentionally lose.

All we needed is to have tomlin have one shyt-tastic ass season on purpose.
Instead big ben got us in the damn playoffs. The one season..WHEN WE NEEDED TO LOSE EVERY DAMN GAME ON PURPOSE.

no way you tried to be like ben was trash.
These motherfukkers...literally have recreated the tomczak years.

The shyt i been dreaded completely.

Yet here you are talking about mitch would be better than ben was.

On no day is that bears halas hall qb tash draftee no damn big ben.

Chu tweak'n joe.

Tha fukk.

You can not be a fan of football. To ever say this.

When historically the steelers are arguably the clean goat franchise.

Chu tweak'n.

You have no idea who mike tomczak is as well.
As nobody who knows football epuld wish for the steelers to purpose fully go back in time to the worst time in franchise history. By reacquiring the most trash ass bears backup in history again.

Tha fukk!?!!!!!!.

These motherfukkers literally have brought us back to the tomczak years.

Tha fukk!?!!!!!!!!

You can't make this shyt up.
You would think this franchise in legacy would copy a good moment in history to emulate.
They literally in legacy copy the worst time in the franchise history.

Cot damn bradshaw is right.

Nobody remembers history correctly at all.

JIM ROSS : BAH GAWD

You played yourself by wanting, hoping for and believing a coach who has never finished below .500 to somehow reverse course. It's not impossible for that to happen, but the track record says it's a foolish bet.

Also, what I said was that I see no reason why Mitch shouldn't be a little better than what Big Ben was in his final year. Mitch is more mobile and presumably has more left in his arm (even though his arm isn't what I'd call elite anyway), nor has he taken the punishment of Ben.

That said, Trubisky's BEST day is not even in the same stratosphere as Ben's BEST day.

It's fukk the Steelers all day personally, but Ben is a surefire hall of famer and other teams would kill to have their organization's stability and rightfully-earned reverence in the league. It's a waste of time to assume the Steelers will be ass. The last time they were bad in any fashion, they ended up drafting Ben. And we saw how that went.

Best-case scenario, the Steelers fix their OL and get some defensive pieces, and Mitch has a career resurgence (PIT does have weapons).

Realistically? Mitch holds the fort with inoffensive play but never becomes elite -- and honestly, the Steelers can win with that -- and the team has some middle of the pack years until they land their actual QB of the future in an upcoming draft. If they have a losing season or two? Well, they're BEYOND overdue for it. I don't want that to happen with Tomlin though.

Not TOO mad at this as a Steeler fan.

The franchise is stingy with draft picks, so we were never really in competition to get Watson.

What this signing suggests is:
  • Team will still look to draft a QB, with Mitch serving as a clear-cut bridge.
  • Team will likely do everything in their power to draft Malik Willis. The mobile/RPO oriented system needed for Mitch we be the same required for Malik. So seamless transition.
  • Hopefully by getting Mitch, it will throw off the desperation of us NEEDING a QB. So less worrying about teams trying to trade up in front of us.
I’m really trying to see the positive in this. I hope this works out. The one plus is it’s not a crazy expensive deal. 2 years 14 milly. So we are not breaking the bank

But man I would have loved Watson, Winston or even Brissett over Mitch.
