And Kyrie & Harden aren't on Bron & KD's level so.....
Stop. I know nikkas love to hate on Harden, I do too...but dude is a beast. Juggernaut on offense from anywhere on the court and defense improved. We know what Kyrie is capable of.

Nope this is an attempt at revisionist history. Steph wasn't on anyone's radar as a potentially great player in 2012. You can go back and search forums, yt video, reddit threads from 5 years ago predicting who will be top players in 17/18. Almost no Curry mentions whatsoever. Draymond wasnt expected to be anything, his pre-draft comparison was Jared Dudley and he was too slow to play defense.

not at all an attempt. it wasnt widespread but as I said we discussed it. some of us said absolutely he could lead the league in scoring others said he possibly could on a down year for scoring. nevertheless his potential to score 25ppg plus was there. Dray, same thing not wide spread but AFTER the draft there were a lot that viewed him as a steal, solid rotation player and possible great NBA 6th man. if you go back and look at Harrison Barnes combine interviews that was just a taste of the hype surrounding GSW as a potential contender with the caveat they stay healthy because they had so many injuries with Steph ankle and Bogut, etc...

The Clippers had more playoff success than Golden State. Teams generally don't go from first round exit to a championship. OKC with their Big 3 went from first round, to conference finals to losing in the Finals. GS just bypassed everything.

Kyrie was better than everyone on GS besides Curry. Cleveland had a great duo; OKC had a great duo. GS had that singular talent in Curry, but not a second fiddle of a superstar caliber like other teams.

Absolutely nobody had them breaking the wins record or Curry winning one MVP let alone two straight. He'd made a single All-NBA team (second team) up until that point.

1ST OFF
GS MADE THE 2ND ROUND IN 2014.
WENT 6 GAMES WITH THE CHAMPION SPURS.

2015 7 GAMES WITH THE CLIPS...

DONT ACT LIKE THIS WAS SOME PELICANS ASS TEAM.

THE SPURS AND CLIPPERS GOT KNOCKED OFF.
OKC DIDNT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS.
SO WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO BEAT GS IN 2015?

they got bounced first round in 13...

ETA: the clips were also further along as team before the warriors finally started climbing, so, no shyt they had more playoff "success".

and throughout the (well mid point and beyond) 2015 season, people did have them as a legit contender, and i vividly remember the number of "this is a team to watch out for/expect to see make a deep run" comments after their 2014 exit. people saw the improvement, just because wasn't written on the wall that they'd win it all in 2015 doesn't negate the fact that over those past 3 years the warriors had steadily improved to a team that you'd expect to be deep in the offs.

you talking overachieved like this is some one and done team that didn't post back to back to back years of improvement and sustained success. overachieve is for the people who shouldn't have the resources to do what they did - from 2012-2016 they have achieved well within their capabilities given the team's talent and continued ascent.

There were threads about Curry potential on here although I agree not many. Blackthoughts/GOAT and Gil discussed curry a few time before the warriors blew up

They're still shot attempts, dummy.

If one guy averages 18 shots and 3 free throws, and another guy averages 17 shots and 7 free throws, who do you think has more responsibility on offense?
The guy who took the most field goal attempts you buffoon. Just because one gets calls and the other doesn't it don't mean shyt.
