Plus heavy handedness with deportations, add in the bungling of the ACA and how that affected plenty of Miamians. Also, You can only run on the “I’m not communist” narrative for so long. Get a moderate dem, galvanize the transplants, liberals, and the few black folks left who occupy the city limits, and boom. There you have it. Obama won Dade County and Florida twice. It’s not that hard to win as a moderate dem in Florida.
