I don't know how those things you listed, "drone assassinations, etc", are relevant to this conversation? What, are you saying Obama claimed to have never assassinated targets using drones? Obama saying we need to close Gitmo and not being able to do it because of political reasons is not the same as Trump accusing his predecessor of breaking the law. Wrong. I care whether politicians are honest to the American public, and think we should all do more to call them out, even if we otherwise agree with their policy. Although I don't agree with the politics of, say a Jeb Bush or Mitt Romney, I wouldn't say that I think they are fundamentally dishonest, or incredibly gullible men. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has numerous instances where he's shown an insufficient ability to think critically about new claims he hears, and tactfulness in communicating his ideas. He seems willing to regurgitate anything he reads or is told without the thought even crossing his mind to verify it's veracity. If it's politically advantageous, he will repeat it to an audience. Now, that's not to say other politicians won't do this to some degree as well. But their sources aren't, you know... white supremacist websites and internet memes. They properly vet their facts, but when it's made clear they've misled the public, they are properly damaged for it, politically. As Sam Harris puts, other politicians lose face, but Trump has no face to lose. People just excuse his outright dishonesty ... they applaud it, even. It's a very dangerous precedent.
