I haven't seen anything to support this. In fact, I've seen plenty of Trump supporters online say that they regret voting for him. Not a very scientific conclusion, I'll admit.

My view is that you should make sure to put the policy before the candidate since all politicians will throw you under the bus if they think it's the only way they will be re-elected.

But there is literally no modern day equivalent to not only the sheer volume of lies that Trump tells; but the extent to which those lies are so fundamental to his political identity. There is no other politician, even in the GOP, that can compare.

Anyone that tries to create any sort of equivalence between Trump and literally anyone else, is doing so in order to distract you (and the board) from the topic at hand.
