I've thought about this and I don't think there should be a cap on what players can earn but maybe a cap on what schools can spend. But either of those changes is just going to make the shyt go underground again.
Yes. There should be a hard cap for what all schools can pay directly (if you’re caught going over that number or paying dudes directly under the table = death penalty).
Let’s say that number is 25 million. If you want to spend 7 million on a 5 star QB, by all means. The rest of your team is going to be ass, though.
This would even out the distribution of players, bottle-neck the schools with exorbitant resources, and limit the hoarding of talent. I feel like most of this shyt is common sense in terms of fixing the Wild West that is the current NIL structure.
