Just adjust the transfer portal. You get one unrestricted transfer and the rest have to be out of conference unless your coach leaves or gets fired…. They can still get paid what the market allows, just structure it more into legit marketing/brand deals.

if you place limits on the transfer portal then you're also placing limits on the player's ability to get paid what the market allows. if your current school knows you already used up your free transfer then they don't have to pay you as much.
