Deadly Game is worse than 1991. Vince Russo doing full show tournaments is the worst shyt. SS 1998 and Spring Stampede 2000 are two of the worst shows by major companies ever. Spring Stampede had I believe THREE separate tournaments going on for the whole show.

WCW Spring Stampede 2000
This show featured Jimmy Hart vs Mancow the radio host, REAL ASS TERRY BOLLEA getting guns pulled on him by cops, Mike Awesome defeating Bam Bam Bigelow by pinning The Cat, a DQ immediately after announcers saying the rules were going to be very very lax for the night, and Scott Steiner having about 10 minutes of ring time in 3 matches.

It's a purely personal choice, but I always just enjoyed DG - was the first PPV I watched after 2 or 3 years ignoring the product, birthed the Corporate Rock run and pretty much introduced me to the Mr McMahon character too. In wrestling terms it's weak, but it had good angles and a great pay-off.... but yeah, I probably remember it fonder than others because I'd been away so long.
Survivor Series 98 is like the definitive Attitude era PPV.
For better or worse it sums up everything that was captivating about WWF around that time. The insane twists and turns, OTT overbooked fukkery, epic heel turns, comedy, the Austin/McMahon feud playing out through the whole show and yeah some pretty shoddy and throw away wrestling. It ain't for the NWA purists but more crazy shyt happened on that PPV than you get probably in 12 months of WWE today. Russo's booking style is unsustainable but this was his finest achievement. It was basically a PPV version of Raw and for Russo it actually had some fairly solid storytelling (the lil arrive of Bossman's continual "fukk ups" helping Rock was well played). I could watch this show over and over.

Watch 89 or 90. 1991 is awful.
WCW Slamboree 1997 was a pretty good show. Main event of Wolfpac vs Flair/Piper/Greene was a ton of fun, all things considered. Same thing goes for Mongo vs Reggie White, which you'd expect to be awful, but was very solid.
Meng vs Chris Benoit and the main event were fire
Meng/Benoit had a rematch the next month that was just as violent and brutal. Benoit got the BUSINESS from Meng and Barb on multiple occasions.
Barbarian was supposed to be a legit tough guy behind the scenes too, right?
