DMX was harder and much more authentic. Plus, he would be putting out his best music while pac would ve on the downside. He also would have all the fans who thought 2oac was mid, and the ones who were just anti-pac.

Ehh

Pac didn't go platinum until 95

Yall put more juice on theeir names after death.

2pac never altered the sound of hip-hop.

Puff was behind biggie's hits, and they were running off of mase's flavor in 97 - biggie included

You are absolutely right about 95. Surprising

Pac got a Trick Daddy feature that didn’t seem outta place…

Everything else who was copy and pasted by Interscope and nem.. nah

Would Pac even work with T.I??? Papoose???
He did get a Nipsey feature before he famous

It’s crazy how’s it’s almost been 20 years since PAC’s Life came out.

We haven’t had a posthumous joint since

Imagine a PAC being out now.

It’ll be like Born Again except with Trap Beats :scust:

A lot of artist popularity wouldn’t have taken off and labels wouldn’t have run down south

Pac was working with the east coast for death row east , which would have brought some east coast artist to more of a public spotlight and a lot of artist especially in the south would have been quiet

Down South was gonna eat regardless…

I can imagine Pac going to NL and linking with Master P and then hanging out in the Calliope Projects with C-Murder and smoking some green.

Pac was about to work with Goodie Mob and UGK too.

I don't think Pac would have fell off or fizzled out at any point really but I do know that he had way more than music on his mind and way more than rap in his skillset. From acting talent to political aspirations, I can't see Pac making effort to keep up with the rap game once he could cash out. It doesn't negate the craft or the idea that he would drop here and there but when he was alive, he was screaming fukk the rap game...look at the shyt we have now
Yeah I think he would’ve just stopped rapping. Possibly in and out jail honestly, dude was kinda wired for confrontation and alway found it.

I'm a bigger 2pac fan actually.

You didnt comprehend my post at all.

Too much 2pac jizz in your eyes, I guess you couldnt read it right.

Yea puff passed on DMX for mase & the lox. Then when X actually got a chance, he lapped all of them.

:jbhmm: how exactly did X lapped Ma$e ?

Go look up Tongue Kissin

97 was gonna be huge for him. Once that song nobody aside from him would’ve been able to have any women until I became of age :yeshrug:

Depending on what plan you’re on that’s either 1/5th or 1/4th of a lifetime. 20 percent or 25 percent

Ohhh and OP

Typical youngin revisionist shytpost but lets actually break this down. Pac never actually peaked when he was alive:

1- He was out of jail less than a year.

2- He was going to win a Grammy for Makaveli.

3- Forget how good it was artistically, think of the singles: Live and Die in LA, Toss It Up, Ain’t Mad at Cha. At a time when videos were still THE biggest part that dictates stardom, he had 3 smash hits with 3 iconic videos. And btw didn’t get a chance to do me and my girlfriend. He was going to go to the moon.

4- He also would have had a combo of being famous and infamous. Jay z, Mobb deep, Nas, and Biggie’s success would all be tied to him so even aside from his own music, he’d stay infamous even if those artists blew up. That blueprint worked for 50 wtf you think it was gon do for Pac?!?

5- Lastly, the movies. He obviously was headed on a will smith type trajectory and was 100 times more talented. We could go down that rabbit hole but 1 thing hammers this home: Pac died just 2 years after Above the Rim. To put that in perspective, Black Panther 2 was three years ago. Pac lived sigh a life that there’s so much packed in a small time. He really just started acting.

Gang Related was gonna be huge. Dennis Quaid, James Earl Jones, etc. He was gona have all them late 90s/early 00’s roles other comedians/rappers got. Pac woulda been Willie Beamen. Pac woulda been Baby Boy. Tyrese is famous to this day off that one movie but you think Pac would have fizzled out lol Be real

Well, so was MOP. What that mean? What made Pac different is he WASNT just a thug or street ngga. With all due respect to DMX, they were NOT the same. DMX was not an intellectual. His ceiling was nowhere near Pac. Yet DMX went onto become a movie star in his sleep. That tells you al you need to know

Your bias and anti-Pac agenda is showing. Makaveli to this day doesn’t sound anything like normal rap. Beat wise and topic wise. You can’t compare white mans world to anything. The closest is Scarface. And now go look up an interview of Scarface talking about Pac. He was on his own tier

I say all that to say, Pac and Biggie (or DMX, or jay z) were shooting at different baskets. There is nothing they could have done to stop his shine bc they could not in a million years be him. Just like jay z becoming a star was on a completely parrallel track of Will smith becoming a star. Pac was that much different from them.
