It's an alternate universe where Pac isn't shot. Isn't cripple and didn't go to jail. Basically the fight at MGM never happened.

Ah I didn't see that part.
In that case he's still with Suge and is alive when Makaveli drops? That should would have been even bigger than it was, and would probably be a pivot point for his career. Was he truly gonna make peace with the east coast, work with Nas, etc? Or would another smash album convince him to keep pressing the envelope? Regardless he would have been on top of the game.
I don't see him fizzling either - at least not initially. Shiny suit era shyt was never his zone so that DMX shyt wouldn't impact him. Honestly the big question I have is would Pac keep shytting on Dre, and if so wouldn't that result in him beefing with Em circa 1999/2000 lol? That would have benefitted them both.
Other question I got for NY dudes, assuming Biggie is alive in this scenario...does 45 King still give Hard Knock Life to Hov? Because it seems like the obvious move would be to hand that over to Biggie. And if Hov doesn't get Hard Knock Life what happens. I won't say Jay would become nobody. He's too good of an artist/writer/businessman for me to believe that, and he had multiple hits on Vol 2. But Big was going to be KONY for at least a couple more album cycles. Maybe DMX gets him out the paint, but Big already peeped the shiny suit shyt was corny. Hence all the talk about the "black album" he was gonna do next.
