NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
If he had survived he would have one lung and be unable to rap though. And possibly in a wheelchair.

But let's say he kept the lung and wasn't crippled. He almost certainly gets arrested for parole violation. That's 2-3 years in prison. He might have gotten out in 2000, at which point the rap landscape is completely different. Who does he sign with? Does he make up with Dre? I can def imagine Interscope pushing for that since getting Pac on an Eminem/Dre record would be printing money. But assuming Pac says fukk that, which seems likely...maybe he gets his own imprint or something via a major.

There are so many revolving pieces in this, I don't think it's crazy to suggest it might have been a wrap for Pac. He'd be desperate for money and likely take whatever the biggest number thrown his way was...but who knows if that would work.
It's an alternate universe where Pac isn't shot. Isn't cripple and didn't go to jail. Basically the fight at MGM never happened.

Ah I didn't see that part.

In that case he's still with Suge and is alive when Makaveli drops? That should would have been even bigger than it was, and would probably be a pivot point for his career. Was he truly gonna make peace with the east coast, work with Nas, etc? Or would another smash album convince him to keep pressing the envelope? Regardless he would have been on top of the game.

I don't see him fizzling either - at least not initially. Shiny suit era shyt was never his zone so that DMX shyt wouldn't impact him. Honestly the big question I have is would Pac keep shytting on Dre, and if so wouldn't that result in him beefing with Em circa 1999/2000 lol? That would have benefitted them both.

Other question I got for NY dudes, assuming Biggie is alive in this scenario...does 45 King still give Hard Knock Life to Hov? Because it seems like the obvious move would be to hand that over to Biggie. And if Hov doesn't get Hard Knock Life what happens. I won't say Jay would become nobody. He's too good of an artist/writer/businessman for me to believe that, and he had multiple hits on Vol 2. But Big was going to be KONY for at least a couple more album cycles. Maybe DMX gets him out the paint, but Big already peeped the shiny suit shyt was corny. Hence all the talk about the "black album" he was gonna do next.

Being under Death Row he probably would have just quit rapping and stuck to acting.

Hard knock life is to jay as Wanksta was to 50. Yea those were the songs that broke them mainstream, but they had endless bullets in the clip and woulda got there another way

If not Hard Knock life, Can I get A being attached to Rush Hour which was the biggest movie in years. Or Money Ain’t a Thang. Or Girl’s best friend. And definitely Big Pimpin

I'm a bigger 2pac fan actually.

You didnt comprehend my post at all.

Too much 2pac jizz in your eyes, I guess you couldnt read it right.

Yea puff passed on DMX for mase & the lox. Then when X actually got a chance, he lapped all of them.

The rap game was built in Pac’s image for 20 years. Into the Wayne, TI, 50 era. They all had their images changed up to be more like 2pac, so you sound dumb as fukk to think he’d be washed 3 years after going diamond.
