Turns out Amazon's AI-powered no-cashier grocery store was actually powered by the low-wage labor of 1,000 Indians

I was just wondering how this works

I went to a retail store this past weekend and they just have you dump the clothes into a box, and it gives you a total.

Feels like a lot of this shyt is a mirage focused on securing as much financing as possible. Once the money and market is secured they then start building what they can.
Absolutely

Computer Vision has a bottleneck with AI. It’s just not there yet, that’s why Elon Musk bytch ass Tesla got called out for Self Driving being a failure

Two years ago when I was looking into masters programs, they were still in the baby steps.

Just need more time, machine learning isn’t doing the work, it’s just the data that’s doing the heavy lifting. They’re trying to make it happen, but yeah might need a good 5 years.

Once you see major automakers start talking about self driving cars seriously, you know they made a breakthrough.
