The woman running the company had a bunch of people working off of excel spreadsheets and databases but sold it as A.I software to Big Banks’s and Investors for hundreds of millions. Then it came out the datasets were fraudulent and the whole thing collapsed.The Theranos "fake it til you make it approach" is done by more businesses than we'd assume.
