Kendrick did not understand when he was using Deuteronomy to explain the mistreatment of Black people. You can't talk about Deuteronomy without starting with Genesis. The Israelites were in bondage in Egypt first and it had nothing to do with a curse because the Egyptians were Ham's people. The Israelites ended up in Egypt because of a famine and the 11 tribes went into Egypt. Joseph revealed himself to be the brother they left for dead. The Israelites reside and multiply in Egypt. Out of fear and because a Pharaoh arose who didn't know of Joseph, placed the Israelites in bondage because he was afraid of their might. They remained in bondage for 400 years.

The Israelites didn't become curse until they broke the commandments and covenants handed down by God in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Deutoronomy, and Numbers. As a result, they were put in captivity again and again and each time a remnant was delivered and their captors were destroyed.

Alot of people dont really listen to the music they claim to love like that bruh.(particularly rap)
Off my experiences you'll be surprised how many people legit dont pay attention to the artist they claim to listen to and be a fan of as closely as they should.

Kendrick as this problack rapper isnt there if you listen to his music but given people are gonna be people and are not listening to what he is saying. They are not critically thinking about anything and just buy that "yeah hes the pro black artist" image by Scope/media.

It also doesn't help that alot of people think that just because your not a money clothes hoes rapper, trap, or a street rapper your automatically a "concious" artist. Lol
