That’s that hipster shyt. It’s the same with shoes and everything these days. These kids and even now 20s-30s people they don’t go past what “looks good” from the outside. These things are “cool” so they have to look like they know what they’re talking about and that they’re interesting in some way. The flip side of it is even though they pretend to have all these tastes and knowledge, when they DO actually share an original thought or part of their actual taste it’s usually the most wild shyt you ever thought of like Post Malone or Playboi Carti or someone being a top 10 rapper all time, or some ridiculous “fit” looking dope when you actually look like a bum off the street with stupid things like men wearing pearl necklaces and shyt.

I genuinely don’t even bother mentioning BIG and Pac in a top 5 or top 10 these days because IMO they’re past that stage, they’re legit legends who are cemented in those spots forever. The fact that they don’t have the opportunity to make new music limits them in being able to live up or down the list. So for that I just have them as a given 1a/1b and do a list from there. you can always throw in a wild card in the top 5/10 anyway. There’s plenty of MCs that deserve a spot in the top 5 that can make an interesting list.
