He’s from the suburbs, I don’t know what that has to do with white people. Its LA.

This is Ladera Heights
OFWGKTA was the epitome of “black kids who weren’t like other black kids bcus they hung with white kids” and came out their own mouths saying as such when that doesn’t match with real life anecdotes from the ppl (Tyler specifically) that knew them. So that’s what it has to do white ppl. Also, median income doesn’t mean anything. I’m from NYC and there are various black neighborhoods with or at least near that same median income and it’s still in the city lol.

Why do we have to accept anti-blackness and c00ning as a “phase” every time someone gets exposed? That nikka was 18-mid 20s (Tyler is a year older than me) being a c00n on tumblr. 27 years old crying about black history month existing saying it’s unnecessary. Yall love infantilizing these c00ns. He should never know peace.

Haven’t read through this thread yet and maybe someone has brought it up, but Tyler and yall) like to pretend like he has an appreciation for black culture just because he was inspired by black artist like crackers don’t do the same.

Tyler is a self hating black man who interacts and appreciates his blackness the same way a racist white person who loves Jimi Hendrix does. He got his famous white friends (Karjenners, Hadids, Bieber and nepo Hollywood) at the peak of his c00ning and that’s why he’s never going to speak out on this - cause he gives his famous white friends the same pass on behaviors he hates seeing in his fans now.

Dude was letting his white boyfriend say the n word on his album

Nothing anyone can say to me would change my mind on him

Ever. I was on the interwebs at the same time as Tyler and saw his rise in real time. Constantly saw his posts with 7000 reblogs on my damn tumblr feed. These tweets don’t even scratch the surface of the degeneracy he was engaging in. I literally couldn’t get into Frank or The Internet in the beginning when they branched off cause I hated Tyler/OF so much I couldn’t separate the two. Frank an undercover yt-boy loving racc00n too he just don’t talk. Donald Glover and ASAP Rocky all in the same fukking basket.

So sick of these nikkas that use black culture as currency.

Didn’t follow them as well, please link to where they say that.

What I know is that there were all races in and around their collective. Normal LA hipster shyt.
I mean Earl and Tyler are both like Nigerian and South African themselves. While Tyler’s mom is biracial. It’s just like in NY, a lot of crews have both black people (FBA, Caribbean, African), Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. But people from other places always want shyt to suit their own region’s or upbringings MO.

I don’t even know why I’m discussing this. Sounds like a bunch of angry middle aged men that always are mad at everything. Tyler and other harmless trolls are like the least of my worries :russell:

I don't fw this at all, if it was just old shyt resurfacing then that would've been fair but piggy backing off the D'Angelo tribute is just nasty.

And in middle school he was in Hawthorne, his year book photo is him and a bunch of ambiguously raced people. Very LA.

While Earl got sent to fukking Samoa when he was misbehaving by his professor mom.
I could go on, but most people know their backgrounds.

Suburban hipsters, emos and whatever trolling like that is not that deep.

Just cause you’re from the suburbs doesn’t mean that you didn’t live with black people, or in LA; Asians and Latinos as well. And it doesn’t mean that you don’t live close to poor people, or crime etc.
It's funny you mention Earl cause ironically he had this epiphany about OF fans over a decade ago and shytted on them then:mjlol:

I mean his dad was a member of the ANC fighting against apartheid, a big activist and influential in black arts in general. His mother a big legal professor in civil rights at UCLA.

He was also younger than the other guys, it was obviously just a rebellious teenage phase with him.

It's just funny that you'll see people more mad at Earl for being a troll when he was a teenager than some of these other rappers for being murderers and crack slingers (or claim to be) until they were like 30 :skip:

They're not harmless tho. And I don't know how you can look at the current societal landscape and be so dismissive about it

Those "harmless trolls" contributed to making flippant racism cool. Tyler was a vessel for a lot of ":pachaha: dude it's not that serious" absurdist comedic racism you see now, and a lot of outcast wannabe edgy black tokens found an idol in that shyt

Like I said earlier Tyler walked so Doja Cat could fly. Suburban black kids with daddy issues who hate or feel above black people but also happen to be talented artists. They blow up off their talent then just try to play off the past like it didn't happen. And nikkas like you enable it

We all went through edgy rebellious teen phase. And most of us didn't have to do it on the back of n1gger/watermelon jokes. Mind you Tyler was well into his 20s when he was selling those blackface shirts

Tyler’s father was NEVER in his life lol, so we can’t used that excuse. Earls mom sent him to basically what you can consider a youth reformation camp. But we see how Earl distanced him self STAUNCHLY from former fan base

I will just assume that Tylers fans are not regular hipster kids (some dumb ones, some smart ones) not MAGA men on twitter.

And did't they come out like 15 years ago, these fans should be at least 30 now.

And the whole post was about them not respecting less popular black acts that he respects, and are instead just Tyler fans. Not all that other political stuff.
It's just like rap producers in the 90s that sampled a bunch of funk and jazz, but had fans who only wanted to people talk gangster shyt over the boom bap drums (or non gangster shyt for that matter like Tribe or so). I don't think the point is much deeper than that

It's both. I already addressed this in this very thread

Black folkss think only MAGA cacs indulge in racist shyt. Hipster liberals be on 4c*an and laugh at n1gger jokes too. And yea some of them grow out of it, but that doesn't negate that the shyt happened and the collateral damage it causes

So yes there are 30+ year old liberal hipster cacs that have followed Tyler from the beginning and laughed at all that shyt he was doing back then
