this is true, but Tyler just matched Future's career high first week sales with a partial week. And Future has been every fukking where since 2011 and he's released WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more projects and had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more hits"Weird" is a lazy critique. Anything slightly outside of what people are accustomed to is weird.
Then you have people who are enamored with rappers who sell them dreams of having money, women, and being heavy in the streets even though they're squares themselves. People don't like listening to someone who's just regular. Regular is corny to them.
He's been cultivating his audience since he was 17. Most of the original OF fans are still supporting and he keeps adding on new fans. He's never changed his sound but he expanded/improved it and his content got more mature as he got older. How many rappers have their highest selling album be their seventh album?
Megan Thee Stallion has had a RIDICULOUS amount of exposure since 2018. We are talking multiple mixtapes, albums singles, features, commercials, TV guest appearances, you name it. I had to look it up, but the album she released last month only sold 64K. Glorilla sold 69k for her album that came last week. Lil Baby exploded on the scene 6 years ago and hasn't hit 250k. And again, Tyler did this in a PARTIAL week.
Also, there's a strong chance a lot of these names wont even be relevant by their 7th album. Outside of Nicki's cult, we are pretty much tired of her ass, and she's only released 5 albums

Cardi been stalling for 6 years. She wont even release a second album. They sayin Lil Baby falling off and he only has 3 albums. Roddy Ricch was one of the hottest names 4 years ago, now he's got no buzz
