I don’t see him landing a starting gig anywhere after losing the job in Buffalo and Cleveland. But he would be one of the best backups in the league. He needs to go to a good squad and get his confidence back.

I don't like how this played out, even being a black OU fan who likes Baker Mayfield, but Hue Jackson has given Tyrod Taylor every benefit. You can blame inept kicking cost Tyrod wins, but the numbers clearly show that Tyrod is mediocre... and maybe there's not much of a difference between him and Baker(there is... statistically and eye test wise), but Baker got the Brown's first win in almost 2 years in only ONE HALF of football being down by 2 scores.

I personally gave Tyrod Taylor the benefit too because he was a vet that let a mediocre franchise to it's first playoff birth in 20+ years. I figured just like everyone did that he would come in and lead the Browns and Baker could sit and polish his game. The Browns coaches had the inside view though.... if Mayfield was outperforming Taylor in camp, then why wasn't he named the starter? The Browns did themselves a disservice by not naming him the starter. They could have been 3-0 and really in position to make the playoffs(and be the talk of the town).

In the eyes of many, Baker was NFL ready, thus the reason he was drafted high. The difference wasn't that big(until last night). Tyrod Taylor isn't a HOF, SB winning QB, so Baker didn't have much to learn or gain sitting.

American sports coaches have been programed to believe that young talent cannot succeed without sitting and learning behind vets, whether the vets are good or not. In Europe, in regards to soccer, their motto is: If you're good enough, you're old enough!

Baker is a more superior QB at 23 than Tyrod is at almost 30 years old.

Period!

It looked like his head wasn't in the game last night. He will have to go through the concussion protocol anyway but maybe give him 1 more chance but if it's the same scenario next week where's it's half time and he's not playing well he needs to be benched.

Naw, playa, this is Mayfield's team now. Unless Mayfield gets injured, then Tyrod ain't seeing the field again. He should get accustomed to holding a clipboard and wearing a headset.

Tyrod will be gone next season if the Browns find a better back up, whether through the draft or free agency.

Black QBs have to be a notch or two above average to stick around. Average or slightly below average is a no go.

Having said that.....if Tyrod Taylor was white and Baker Mayfield was black, you know we'd be looking at Hue like :mjpls:.

That's 100% ok. We root for our people. White fans lie on themselves because they root for skin color too. They wanted Baker as the starter from the jump...and definitely want a white head coach. They hope Baker lights it up but not too much so they can get some hot shot white OC in there.

If Baker wins 10 straight, they'll give BM all the credit and act like Hue is "the help." AFC North whites be on that plantation shyt.

Tyrod career was saved by Shady McCoy anyway....nikka been trash

U see how defenses was playing buffalo, 8 in the box just to stopped Shady...given him one on one coverage majority of the time..

Tyrod got paid, now he can RG3 on someone bench...

Dak Prescott the same way.....good Dallas Defense that keep games close and a running back to save his horrible passing
