he has definitely improved

he is a great defensive player now and gets boards. what an awful thread.

He used to get tossed around like a hoe, even in New Orleans.

I'm not talkin about defense clown..

I said THE MAN HAS NO OFFENSIVE MOVES OF ANY SORT. NOT ONE MOVE

Read what the fukk I said before you comment.

Nobody is sayin for him to become the dream but at least develop one move :damn:

On the offensive end, Chandler is horrible! It's unbeleivable how the big men today lack post moves and can't even create there own shot unless it's a alley-oop or tip in.

This dude strengths are on D but have some pride in your game and develop some sort of go to move. At least one nikka. Its like he has no interest in ever improvng offensively..

It's baffling

I'm kind of surprised(but then i'm not) Because he has such a high bball iq, you wouldve thought he couldve developed one move. But he is what he is.

If i had to choose between a big man with no offense and great defense, or a big man with great offense but bad defense...i'd choose the big man with great defense but bad offense.

You got to be able to protect the paint if you serious about contending, and Tyson does that most nights.

Or maybe they were wise to have him focus on what has made him successful?

Tyson was awkward as hell on offense when he was in Chicago, he was never going to be a scorer.

This thread is shyt though, hes playing the best ball of his carrier and is actually living up to his contract.

NO

The kid was straight out of high school and was a raw talent that needed coaching to get it together. If you had no idea what to do with him you shouldnt have drafted him. Instead you get greedy, draft him along with another post player knowing they could not play together and wind up trading him anyway.

Remember when Orlando had the pick and drafted Webber? With Shaq still on the roster they knew they would be wasting Webber's talent playing alongside another young talent whom they wanted to develop (Shaq) so they made a deal ang got Penny and it was a win win. THEY had a PLAN. Chicago didn't.

The Bulls were pretty clearly trying to emulate the Spurs 'twin towers'.

They had Jamal Crawford, Ron Mercer, Eddie Robinson, Artest all on that roster and then drafted Jay Williams the following year.

Chandler and Curry actually made sense together outside of neither being able to space the floor out. Tyson never showed any offensive promise, we would say this all the time. I remember saying he could be a great rebounder and had DPOY potential if he bulked up, which many Bulls fans agreed with. He has pretty much reached the exact ceiling people expected him to. Yeah, he was super young, but nobody ever expected him to be a great post scorer. His game was always awkward and he had trouble with TO's and his hands were just HORRIBLE.

If he couldnt put together an offensive game next the the 'best' PG in the league for 3 seasons, I am not sure what anybody is expecting.

Tyson is garbage on offense. He has stone hands is not a thinker with the ball. He just goes right at the basket.

Tyson is probably one of the most important cogs of this Knicks squad

His block on Kyrie last night in the end of the 4th quarter speaks for itself

No he's the contract crippling the franchise

Even Mutombo had post moves, they are paying a lil big man max money, who could barely catch and has no moves at all, not to mention you have a super star sitting on the bench, where his ass should be but the franchise has to justify that contract.

You're trolling if you don't think Tyson is playing up to his contract. What do you think he'd command on the open market today if he was a free agent? Top 2 defensive big in the league.

Our post defense was atrocious before Tyson and we used to be forced to guard bigs with Jared Jeffries and Stat. He's a huge reason this team has improved and is on pace for a 50 win season.
