If we keeping it real, UK brehs and brehettes been having the bangers since the late 80s, early 90s.
I know my 80s babies know about the UK soul/R&B back then

But jungle, UK garage, IDM, grime, drum n bass, UK hard house, all of that, straight up has been hitting for decades.

Trust when I say Jungle is the one vibe that’s purely a London one. In the early 90’s I wasn’t even 10 years old so all I could do is listen to the tapes my brother and his friends made. Roll forward 20 years when I go out and hear the same tunes, I get hyped!

Garage, Jungle, Techno and DnB are the earliest musics memories. I didn’t get into hip hop until my mid teens.

Its the same producers. Axel, Melo, etc are all from London and producing for US rappers and influencing the producers here. That’s not the only sound coming out of the U.K.

No US rappers are comfortably riding on beats like this

Thats pure U.K. Afro beat

You should listen to Goldlink, also this shyt has a similar break beat to Unforgettable or whatever that song is with dude from Rae Sremmurd, I can definitely see AA artist rapping over this shyt. A couple years ago every single artist was fukking with this sound.

Unforgettable is afrobeat, which was used by U.K. artists before Americans going back 5 or so years ago. This was just one more recent example from Nones most recent album

I think UK folks have the worst accent of all English speakers and I'm from the Deep South. :scust:

Toronto accent <<<<<<<<

Some of the baddest tings be sounding like

when they open their mouths

now we are going back, let me state this carefully..Britain is responsible for some of the greatest modern music in all genres including reggae and soul..this was due to time and great influence.
now in contemporary times..the UK is fugazi when it come sto music..

soul 2 soul , black box and many more during the 80's and 90's were dropping bombs!!!!!

I don't know about that

UK Jazz, House & RnB in 2020 >>>>>>>>

NYC and FBA Riverboat Retaliation
Well shyt , seems like everybody doing music today from NY is from Brooklyn besides Benny the Butcher
:yeshrug:
There’s Don Q from The Bronx, Jay Critch, VDon from Harlem, Smoke Dza from Harlem, Armani Caesar, from Buffalo, NY, 38 spesh, Mori Briscoe

as far as consistent New York drill rappers, there’s Bizzy Banks, PNV Jay, OMBs, SPMBs, Fivio, the Blixkys, Mori Briscoe, Real Ryte etc etc

Not all New York rappers are doing Brooklyn Drill. You don’t know shyt about NY rap, so i suggest that you stop talking about New York until you can pull that foot out your mouth. Even our underground rappers will kick the shyt out of your favorite lamestreamers. Both lyrical and production.

The wack accent still fukks on the flow and all they're doing is copying off of black Americans. Just like all the rest of these muthafukkas around the world... they just watch what we... Black Americans... are doing and try to copy it.

That Abra Cadabra kid posted here js tough. And that “Only If You Knew” Dutchavelli joint is hard too. I’ve heard it played in NYC a few times.

I also like them NSG kids, they make catchy, good vibe songs. I think they have a song called “Lupita” that this lil trini shorty played at her house and the shyt was nice.

people are tribal and will try to dismiss it wholesale though. UK brehs got the little brother syndrome where they want to show how tough they are all the time for no reason and AA brehs got the big brother syndrome where they feel the need to try to lil boy UK brehs all the time for no reason :yeshrug:

Personally, I much prefer afrobeats these days though. Happy songs, and they really set a positive mood for the type of environments and functions I’ve been in lately. Maybe I’m just getting old :yeshrug:

Super garbage for the most part. Sounds like they wrestling with their tongue stammering rhyming words with marbles in their mouth.

And Chicago Drill sucked too. NYC Drill is uber trash.

I'm tired of that stupid azz overused drum pattern too. FuX OFF.

Amapiano is the real wave.
