Nothing wrong with what was said. Learn the scripture. Just because you run into a rare Christian who doesn't back down, don't be surprised. There's more coming.

i got one question and then im done.

what do you think of the people who follow the 4300 other religions there are out there? im genuinely curious. I have no judgment. ive studied religion alot because of my up bringing but this answer as always varied

Oh now because I sonned you, I don’t understand scripture:sad:

you mad? I’m still waiting on the book, chapter, and verse where it says if you don’t go to church then you are damned to hell. The same way fakkitry is damned clear and in black & white, show me where if you skip church you are damned to hell

I don’t want to hear shyt from the Book of Chrishaune, chapter Juelz, verse Ducktales.

You can stay in deception all you want. You've been told the truth.

More educated People, STEM majors included, are less religious. Kind of a backfire that as corporations get bigger, people attendinf religious services less.
they dont wanna hear that bruh. you have to blindly follow in this thread. people who understand scientific method and how to find facts can join me in lurking the higher learning

Not to mention that it was used by slavers to justify slavery.

I watched that movie Silence the other day and even though the movie is supposed to show the awful shyt the Japanese did to Christian missionaries during the 17th century, after I read more about the Portuguese attempts to bring Christianity to Japan before it was banned and they were prosecuted, I have to respect how the Japanese peeped game and unfortunately a lot of folks in African countries did not.

The Japanese didn't allow Christians to take hold because they viewed it as a way for European countries to try and colonize Asia. They already were in the Phillipines and parts of China at this point. The Shogun saw that folks would be more beholden to western Christian leaders like the Pope or christian societies instead of the Shogun and Japan. Other European countries even confirmed that Portugal had colonial intentions before kicking them out. Religion went hand in hand with enslavement and instituting another system of control outside of the leaders in your own country. Once you get the populace to be more faithful to your religion instead of their own country and leaders, they will welcome you carrying a gun in the name of Jesus to come and throw out their apostate leaders. The Bible always came before the gun.

Now look at us, we still have tons of folks in our community beholden to some religion from Europe.

check em out at 27 seconds

Go to church to pay another man to read you the Bible when you can do it yourself brehs.

Go to church to pay another man so he can take your money to buy a new Lexus while you still driving your old car brehs.
y’all love running with this narrative when churches have trustees to handle money.

Pastors aren’t even in charge of counting the money.

intersting becuase christianity can be attributed to the white mans colonization. they were the winner. they spread it and ignored many of the african belief systems and gave those same folks christinaity.
wouldnt christianty growing fast DURING persecution just be attributed to people buying in largely out of fear of being persecuted. :patrice:

you just seem to have gave a longer explanation of how christanity was founded by a winner - constantine but just didnt give a brief descriptor for the other.

but this is the interesting part of all religion to me and history its only told by the winners we dont get a full story or to hear the other side. its easy to label those who dont buy in as a demon or some shyt.

like i said to breh i respect what you want to believe but we can pretend that its some perfect/factual system. Thats also teh beauty of belief and faith right. you can just inside believe in something even those it may be problematic it may help you to get thru struggling times and teach you how to meditate(not by the name of meditation).

but cats in hear preaching as if all the negatives and questions and problematic events dont exist like :hubie:. label it as an excuse or not a reason. and coming from a family of pastors/rev and teachers i cant let that fly becasue even they are willing to sit and listen and discuss with different views and dissenting opinions.

ultimately all of hte things they tell us not to discuss is for a reason. politics, religion, money is all by design less we talk about it the less we can question, less we can figure out why things are the way tehy are. lesser teh chance to topple power structures
Christianity was already a popular religion and had existed for almost 300 years before Constantine came around

Al those other religions were started by very successful winners

Even Judaism is about the conquest of the cursed cannanites

Who did the early Christians conquer?
They caught the most Ls out of any major religion during its initial stage

Don't believe in God but I been going to church every Sunday since January.Lost someone dear to me and I find church helps keep my spirit up because sometimes I feel like crashing out. It's some interesting stories in the Bible and some of the moral lessons still apply because the nature of human beings hasn't changed. I HATE HATE HATE those folks that try to make it some type of Authority you have to follow though like the Bible says you have to do xyz or xyz should be illegal because the Bible

The path to the Kingdom of God is narrow. It's not wide and there's only one way to it. Yeshua Hamashiach is the only way.

God knows the individuals minds and hearts, and He's the one that decides who is and is not going. I can't read anybody's mind, but I can for sure tell you The Way.

Buddha, Allah, the Greek or Roman Gods, the occult, Hinduism, etc are not the way. All of this other stuff is just the demonic way of deceiving willfully ignorant people. They will even mix in deception with some true facts, but all that does is mean it's still false.

Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad and easy to travel is the path that leads the way to destruction and eternal loss, and there are many who enter through it.
14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life, and there are few who find it.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me on that day [when I judge them], ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, and driven out demons in Your name, and done many miracles in Your name?’
23 And then I will declare to them publicly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me [you are banished from My presence], you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].’

People put waaaay too much emphasis on Religion and not enough on a personal relationship with God. My church has actually done its best financially during the pandemic with most of the congregation worshipping from home.

The older generation are more Religious and feel going to church every Sunday, wearing suits and dress clothes is mandatory.

Nothing blind about it.

Those that think they can see it all with their physical eyes are the ones that are truly blind.
