Yeah, from my lens the reason they want to"bring jobs back" is because big tech feels we are on the brink of futuristic factories where robots via AI can do the china thing much cheaper and efficient stateside which would yield larger profits and more stability to supply chain disruption.

Big tech can sell these solutions to companies which = win win for both

On the human employee side yes there will be factory jobs that maybe even "pay good" but you would need far less people, as they would essentially be "site managers" of sorts who can oversee the machines in the event issues arise and run/present reports to senior leaders

How is the party of abolishing Minimum Wage which is $7.25 in a third of states going to create tens of millions of jobs for all that start at $70k with just a High School Diploma? Area Managers at Amazon warehourses get run into the ground and most aren't cracking $70k a year. Don't even get me started on the entry-level white badge T1's who can be there for over a year on temporary status with no benefits who can be laid off at any time. A ton of jobs that require a degree don't even have a median salary of $70k-$90k.

Warehouse jobs as a middle-class income is done in America. Unless we are expecting Trumps isolationist mentality, tariffs, and continued wage stagnation to drop us down to a second world status where these limited options look more appealing, thats certainly a possibility.

People are just remarkably stupid. And is the downfall of this country.

Lets say the CEO lets go of the minority game designers and programmers, bring back the Atari and Colecovision reps that yearn for the days of 1bit games. That exact CEO eyes a foreign company trying to bring over a Russian version of pinball, despite people moving onto better games. Also that Russian pinball company has malice in their heart for the growth of the American video game company, so they work together with the CEO of the American video game company to discredit, dismantle, and fukk over the exact company the USA CEO works for.

Thus leading to shareholders wanting to get the CEO off the paint, in favor of selling it to the highest bidder.

its fukking stupid and we’re doing the equivalent of brexit which completely defanged the UK. By the end of this America is going to be hollowed out and barely functioning. The only people benefitting from this are the extremely wealthy who are in position to be paid from the systemic transfer of wealth from the working/middle class to the wealthy that Trump‘s policies are facilitating.
