This is a rug pull. They're promising nice factory jobs so they can gut social security and then to the extent that you do see those factories built up. Post-War America got lucky in a lot of fukking ways and the manufacturing economy that followed was luck. Selling it all start in the 70s or so was not luck. Now labor arbitrage dictates we aren't competitive anymore for consumer goods manufacturing.
