You see how this faggit nikka is in here cosigning Trump's plans and saying "America has plenty resources" just telling lies to justify his support of all these pink bytches.

Y'all think any nikka like this is safe around me?

I want serious answers.

Why the fukk are they safe around you then nikka?

Put these types of nikkas in hospitals or wooden boxes. That's the only thing they will ever get from me. Free admissions to those places.
What you slangin them thangs for now yg?

Surely you could make more at the Ford factory like your grandpappy.

Then you could get some real Buffs in no time.

On paper its a noble idea to bring manufacturing back on shore.

In reality with the current infrastructure, we are about two decades away from making something like that a reality. Not to mention, the wages you would make from a job like that, by the time its a reality, you would have to be making 200k from it just to keep up with inflation.

but trump and the maga admin will float out pipe dream ideas like this, to keep the masses placated and have them dreaming about the nostalgic 1960's, but those days are long gone.

That 200K number makes zero sense .

If it takes 20 years for it to happen so what? It’s obviously not something that can be done overnight but long term is it’s a positive..then it’s a positive.

The arguments against this are odd. Is bring all manufacturing back here realistic ? No. But it’s possible to bring a healthy chunk of it back which would do a whole lot of good whether it’s 10 or 20 years down the line

That GM plant life used to buy a house and put kids through college
True.

What they’re saying is your kids won’t be going to college. So whatever lofty dreams you and your family have for your kids— forget about it.

Whatever class you’re born in is where you will stay.

No aspirations, no reaching higher (wow my bad).

And they aren’t stopping Trump, which means this shyt was planned. This country is going to look like the rest of the world. This is one of the few places where ppl can come and elevate their standing/life in less than one generation. They are going to stop that.

Can’t afford college? No financial aid and loans; your kid just can’t go.

That’s why the prices kept rising over the years. Boomer in my office said university was like $3k/yr when she was a student. I’m a millennial; it was like $800/credit for me.

They’re pricing everybody out.

And where does Automation factor into this equation?

If we are gonna be serious, we need to be serious and account for reality.

not just wishful thinking.

Any time something is being built there HAS to be human involvement.

Automation/Ai isn’t just going to take over and be 100% autonomous and every industry is not going to go in that direction until it is economically feasible to do so…which may be many many years from now

Saying they’re going to bring all manufacturing back is wishful thinking and only dummies believe that..but to act like it’s impossible or a bad thing to bring a solid chunk of it back is just as foolish

I work at a unionized paper mill...which is about as old school as it gets.

Most of the old timers who've been there for 20+ years have pensions, multiple houses, RV's, sent their k8ds through college or their sons would follow them to the mill.

I never stepped foot in college and in the 8 years I've been doing this shyt I've averaged around 85 to 88k, have around 45k in my 401k, my kids are spoiled and I'm able to pretty much do whatever I want.

Manufacturing will likely never return to what it was, but even 25% means more black men have the opportunity to live the life I'm living.

Factory jobs are not coming back at the scale of before the 1980s. It’s over. Howard Lutnick also said this.

Imagine you’re a greedy capitalist and you have a choice between a thing that can work 24/7 without benefits and none of the pestering of a human vs a human that will want all that. Which one will you employ?

Any onshoring will not benefit society at large as far as job creation except the owners. It’s just more lies and a shiny distraction for suckers like @tuckgod

The propaganda from this Administration gets dumber everyday. The saddest thing is people who didn't even vote for Trump are starting to believe it just like $5k back to every American thanks to DOGE.

How is the party of abolishing Minimum Wage which is $7.25 in a third of states going to create tens of millions of jobs for all that start at $70k with just a High School Diploma? Area Managers at Amazon warehourses get run into the ground and most aren't cracking $70k a year. Don't even get me started on the entry-level white badge T1's who can be there for over a year on temporary status with no benefits who can be laid off at any time. A ton of jobs that require a degree don't even have a median salary of $70k-$90k.

Warehouse jobs as a middle-class income is done in America. Unless we are expecting Trumps isolationist mentality, tariffs, and continued wage stagnation to drop us down to a second world status where these limited options look more appealing, thats certainly a possibility.

There were also elevator operators, people that made horseshoes, the man who opened the curtains at the movie theaters. Maybe we will bring them back too.
Next folks gonna be talmbout “Trump aint bad. Our kids can be shoe shiners, girl fridays, and soda jerks.” :mjlol:

I can’t believe in year 2025 people actually think that stuff can come back. They are due for a rude awakening.

That was before Reagan. We can’t even pay teachers or firefighters livable wages you think factory workers going to be paid in this day and age :snoop:
Facts.

Robots can handle factory jobs. Republicans keep selling this lie but the math ain't mathing.

How do you pay a good wage yet keep the cost of manufactured American goods affordable?

They want to gut the middle/upper middle class since those are mostly college educated people who see through YamTitts. Then promise blue collar work to poor whites....half of whom don't want to work anyway.

What do y'all suggest? College? Unless you STEM you barely making it with a college degree. Plenty of broke college students out there.

Is manufacturing the right way? I don't know. But if they're paying $70k - $80k with no need to go into debt, it's a win.
:mjlol: It will never pay that much. If they did, goods would cost too much and demand would plummet, resulting in downsizing and automation.

:mjlol: nikkas happy they're gonna bring back sharecropping and feudalism.

For hospitals and schools it’s not as safe as you may think it is

Actually they’re trying to figure out. A way to cut spending in healthcare now cause that’s were a lot of debt is in
