Gotta thank LeBron. This recent jump hit after The Decision.
Lol dudes can’t help but turn everything into a stan war. Cant give MJ no props with y’all weirdos getting aggy :laff:.
Quit being so insecure man. The NBA been eating fat off the hog off the strength of MJs global popularity in conjunction with his corporate sponsors and David Stern alike being wise enough to puppet him and mass market him to exponentially grow the league. Every other star since has been following that exact blueprint. That is a literal fact. Me stating that has nothing to do with, nor a shot at Lebron dude. Don’t quote me again with that nonsense man

He need to ask why his salary so low. That’s why Bones left. To answer his question it’s 51-49 split of revenue in favor of the players. The TV deal is big portion of that due to salary cap limitations they can’t pay Lebron a 100 million a year. That’s why dudes like Gordon Hayward can get 30 million a year.

It seems like the NBA has to be in a bubble, no pun, but the owners aren't behaving like they don't see it bursting
Even this year players agreed to get a lesser percentage of their pay due to the covid impacting games played and live gate
and yet players are still getting signed to huge deals they probably don't "deserve" (gordon hayward, fox, etc)

Remember that scene in Schindler's List where Oskar is trying to buy the jewish workers from Amon?

Amon: If I'm making 100, you're making three (hundred). And if you admit to making three, it's four!"

And I think about this line when we see how much athletes are earning. How much are the owners pocketing?

:lupe:

I don’t see how they are getting away with the cap remaining flat instead of dropping. Even the NFL who brings in wayyy more revenue is looking at drop in cap space even if they spread the hit out over a certain number of years.

Gotta thank Michael Jordan for globalizing the sport like that man. NBA brings in an insane amount of revenue as a result, coupled with great player representation, in an industry that is EXTREMELY specialized and rigorous to get into...and it makes perfect sense why they get paid what they get paid. Deservingly so, might I add.
Quit pocket watching and go work on ya jump shot nikka

He just asking a question
