MJW may be a better technical striker but what happens when he gets hit? That's always the thing with these classically trained martial artists. They know their craft but in the ring/octagon, you're gonna get punched in the face. How do they deal with that? Professional fighters have dealt with as they fought going through the amateur ranks. Also if they really fought Perry would take him down and grapple if he couldn't outstrike him.

Has MJW trained in avoiding takedowns when he's in his striking stance, does he know what to do when he's on his back and someone's on his guard, or when someone has his back. How about when he's in a clinch, or someone's trying to hip toss him. MMA fighters train for all of that so they have a more diverse skillset.

It's like if a 100M sprinter were to challenge a decathlete in a decathlon. Yeah that sprinter is gonna destroy the decathlete in a sprint, but all the other events the decathlete is gonna win because they've been doing it forever.

If MJW and Perry were to fight a Kyokushin rules fight like below, yeah MJW is gonna destroy him
