The Deep State
There are videos of Yemeni militants destroying a lot of US Abram tanks used by the Saudis with Iranian anti-tank missiles all over YouTube. And the German Leopard 2 I used to rate due to military videos on YouTube were destroyed in squadrons by ISIS in Syria when the Turks got sexy & decided to use them in Syria. Germans haven’t even forgiven the Turks for exposing the myths about Leopard 2 in battle, in Syria.
the Saudi military?

Fam.

Are you serious?

Yall still confusing KIT/GEAR with TROOPS/COUNTRY? :gucci:

Look up the Battle of Khasham that I linked to above for a real example of direct battle between Russian forces (Wagner ) with US soldiers. It was a massacre. Not one US troop killed and hundreds of Russian and Syria government forces killed. The idea Russia is hanging with the US alone, ergo NATO as a whole is laughable. I'm inclined to believe several individual European countries are behind Russia simply due to being under the umbrella of protection of the United States for so long they have lacked in preparing their own forces

Here is a fun bit audio of the Russian command lamenting how much their shyt got pushed in. The recording starts at 10 mins

This was NOT a real example. The United States sent all their air assets in and thats why Wagner lost. This wasnt urban or even tank combat.

In a real war a fat juicy target like a B-1B lancer bomber or AC-130 will be food for S-300 and S-400. In a real fight, Russia's AD systems would be fully engaged and shooting at planes in the sky, as well as sending in their SU-57s as well. Even the SU35 is deadly.

Wagner had no helicopters or planes in the sky.

A lot of these people just talk about weapons without understanding what comes with team. For weapons to even be a bit effective: logistics have to be perfect, you need proper training since most western weapons aren’t easy to use, battlefield has to be in consideration & then the terrain is also very important.

We all saw how old Russian tanks (which are very light compared to western tanks) were getting stuck in mud from March/April last year due to the terrain in most parts of Ukraine. So, how would American & British tanks which are extremely heavy survive in that terrain? British tanks are also notorious for electrical problems & you need standby technicians to fix them all the time. American tanks on the other hand drink fuel like Hippos drinking water - where’s Ukraine going to get the fuel to run those tanks from?

Also, you need good air cover with helis for tanks & Ukraine hasn’t got many helis right now.

There are videos of Yemeni militants destroying a lot of US Abram tanks used by the Saudis with Iranian anti-tank missiles all over YouTube. All these weapons are just faux wunderwaffe that won’t change anything including Patriot missiles that were utter useless against Iranian missiles in Yemen. Patriot missiles didn’t stop Houthis from bombing Aramco facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Exactly this! These weapons they keep talking about arent battle tested against near peer enemies. If Houthis in Yemen can take out some Abrams, and ISIS can take out Leopold's, imagine what Russia can do.

A lot of people dont have a clear and present understanding of War and how all the moving pieces operate, and its starting to show

How many recorded kills has the Su-57 performed in air combat? I believe the number is one. I agree the S- 400 will definitely be a problem. However, a lot of this is theoretical. In actual combat, that is really the only real world example we have at the moment of a direct conflict between Russian and US forces and the Russians were whipped something bad.

Also, it's telling that most military leaders in the US do not view Russia as it's direct competition. They are more concerned about China. Since the fall of the Soviet union, the Russian military has had terrible organizational structure and their maintenance of their equipment has been poor. This is what happens when your government is ruled by a single autocrat and a bunch of corrupt oligarchs who pilfer industries to line their pockets after your previous government collapsed. Money and resources that would be going towards a common defense get dispersed inefficiently because people are constantly taking a cut for themselves. We have corruption but in Russia it has led to real deterioration of their forces. Funny enough, China has some of the same issues. Top down organizational structures and lack of accountability for one level down individuals (oligarchs in Russia, regional mayors and governors in China) encourages institutional rot. This includes rotting of your military.

Edit: again feel weird without sources. Here is an analysis of corruption in Russia and how it has harmed it's military.

We saw the US in a near peer war in Iraq and not one Abrams tank was destroyed by enemy fire.

Why didn't Russia do the same? :mjlol:

This wasnt urban or even tank combat.
End result would still be the same. Russia getting washed on the modern battlefield.

In a real war a fat juicy target like a B-1B lancer bomber or AC-130 will be food for S-300 and S-400.
Anti-radar HARMs will obliterate Russian air defence systems before air power is put into action.

In a real fight, Russia's AD systems would be fully engaged and shooting at planes in the sky, as well as sending in their SU-57s as well. Even the SU35 is deadly.
Russia has like 10 SU-57s. And fukk a SU-35 when the pilots are using commercial GPS. The Russian air force is a clown show in the sky.

Wagner had no helicopters or planes in the sky.
Just like Russia now. You have to see the irony in this.

Why go so far back? Houthis in Yemen has been kicking the crap out of the abram tanks there. Iraq in Gulf War 1 did not have the capability of Russia in 2023:

I think the part in red is a good call out and something that Russia definitely suffered from in the beginning of their military adventure in Ukraine. I dont know how much of this is still going on due to the SMO exposing a lot of this corruption. But yes, I agree with the part in red.

Been thinking a lot about this, but do Africans have weapons on the same level as NATO? They could break free from the puppets that control them, but can they defend off NATO attacking them?

The answer is NO. The best armed African country is either under Africom command and using American weapons. Or theyre using old Soviet weapons

Damn as I was thinking, they're totally defenseless. Is there a reason why they don't invest in their military weapons and structures?
