I’m being nice. He’s clearly on something and a political extremist but he’s not dumb, per se. just like Tariq. They’re uninformed in many things though
id argue umar knows his area of expertise well. I'd also wager he's better informed on the socio economic aspect of american society and the interplay of race within its confines better than most on this forum. unless you wrote a thesis on the matter (not you literally) it's best to listen and just think critically about the points made.:yeshrug:

You can be Pan-African and have a PHD, and still be apart of the elite.

Frances says hi.

He got a plug in for the "opening celebration" for the FDMG Academy at the end of the show.
He said it's in August......didn't specify the year. (hehehehe)

Umar as a guest is good for ratings, I guess. The host says that he's about the community, but didn't ask him about the money or press him about the status of the school.

Dr. Johnson did a lot of reaching and generalizing in this debate. A few weeks ago he got publicly called out by Lord Jamar during that interview. Lord J mentioned how his father in law started a school from scratch and asked him why he's lolligagging for years.
NY area "boule" Black folks have supported the school Jamar brought up......publicly and privately.

Rich Black people are a convenient scapegoat, but the criticisms don't apply or add up a lot of times.

The core criticism that they don’t do anything substantially tangible for the black masses applies. Dude debating Umar is reaching when he says minimum to join Black elite circles is $20M net worth. Very few Black Americans have bread like that, despite all the frontin’

I have a question for you,but it's open to anybody.

Umar's direct quote was that "yeah the Boule pays some scholarships, but they don't do anything to dismantle white supremacy".

Umar and other youtubers sell content under the smokescreen of 'fighting white supremacy' but I don't see how they are doing that at all. Good sales pitch but
in what way is Umar fighting or dismantling white supremacy?

Boule and other wealthy Blacks help other Black people to complete their formal education with less or no debt.
One sure fire way to fight white supremacy is to help other Black people acquire their own resources, and become less dependent on white people and institutions. Boule created and funded institutions have been doing this for decades. How is that not considered doing something substantive for Black people?

What you're doing is conflating "upper class" with "whiteness". The upper class of any racial or ethnic group, whether Asian, Indian, or African, partakes in the same behaviors because class is more than money, it is shared habits, behaviors, aspirations, and values.

It would be very rich of me to say that because poor whites smoke meth all day, live off of food stamps, and believe in conspiracy theories, that poor blacks are trying to emulate them because all they do is smoke weed all day, live off of food stamps, and believe in conspiracy theories.

Class is class and shouldn't be conflated with race. Do you think African royals pre-European contact were fraternizing with commoners? No. They socially interacted with other African noble families and had their own traditions.

and the upper class of every ethnic group is incredibly lame and boring, thinking money and rich hobbies replace an interesting life and personality.

Jokes aside, as an individual Umar has done a lot to educate Black people on the realities of White Supremacy. You don’t see the Boule types openly challenging and calling out White Supremacy. Many weren’t even using the term White Supremacy in the open until saying it became mainstream under Trump. While education is great, in and of itself focusing solely on education is still funneling Black people into an underclass with ‘good jobs’ working for the Man. They don’t call out and challenge the system because the Boule themselves are heavily dependent on it. And in many cases, they do the bidding of White Supremacy by telling Black people to vote blue no matter what and seek White acceptance.

Ok, and?
You have a guy in another thread that just ate gorilla glue because he didn't believe gorilla glue worked. You think that's an interesting life and personality?
