Me and my sons mother want him to go to a HBCU but stuff like this makes me think twice.

lotta HBCUs out there man. And the positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot.

I know Howard and Maryland share a big apartment complex at PG Plaza Mall. Along with their off campus housing in NW DC. I can’t speak for Bowie State but I’ve never heard of any housing issues.

Theres a psychology behind this.
I feel this is like when people go on Facebook and tell about their awful experience they had with black businesses.
Some people just expect more because they feel as though they are doing you a favor by dealing with a black business
When they could go somewhere else for a better or equal price,more convienient.
People go out of their way to say how horrible service at a black businesses was,but get shytty service at the Chinese Restaurant,Arab Gas Station ,Mcdonalds and Walmart on the daily they never report. We have to ask ourselves,how many of these students/parents waited til the last minute to handle business? How many students wait til the last minute to go to financial aid offices? I don't know,I'm just asking because that can effect traffic in lines,and the ability of the HBCU to handle their business?

I think it is because a lot of people push that you should shop black if you want better service than you get from other groups.
if you are getting the same or worse than you are going to be mad and speak out more

I don't understand. I truly don't understand. Did the school not know when THEIR students would arrive/when THEIR classes start? If they knew the dorms weren't ready why not tell the parents and students before they arrived? fukk kind of shyt is that!


There's literally no excuse not to have dorms ready at the start of the school year. Will these parents get reimbursed or will they have to eat the loss? That dad said the place they're staying at is far, how far and do they provide shuttles? I have so many questions.

There’s no excuse for this though. It’s not just people from GA who go to these schools, you got mfs from Cali flying cross country. Momma bear goes to drop baby girl off and there’s no bednow what can you do?

When I went BCU they had students housed In a hotel in the malls parking lot

The fukking worse. I've been to 4 colleges in my life and hbcu has been the worse shyt I seen out of all schools.

Even taking younger family to college and seeing it was the worse. What is it about fukking hbcu that they just run so inefficient.

Yo when I went to my school and they told me I had to apply for financial aid ( I planned on paying for the semester in cash) I saw the line and I was about to say fukk it and go back home. If this fly ass chick didn't call me upstairs and had me fill out forms I would've left.
