I truly believe this "black empowerment" is just entertainment for some, a way to hate white people, and money making for others. I grew up going to lectures, African festivals, and having pride, in the late 80's. Stop being a part of it because of all the frauds. Got back into it around 2009, only to find the same thing. I learn about Yvette & Tone, almost three years ago, got me believing that something might actually happen for us, only for fighting to happen. AND, it started by the same person who started talking about "being on code"!

I guess I'm losing hope again, because even though i truly believe in ADOS as a movement, I know there are WAY more people who wouldn't mind stopping it, just to get their own thing going. People who don't want us to get our just due have no problem finding agents in this era, and what's wild is the people would have no idea they are agents, because they are full of hate anyway, and don't mind bring shyt to a halt.

I remember girls wanting to do Ballet, only for the hip hop or African dancing to be seen as better, and "black". We have to find a way to separate from these energy draining people! They just want things to be a certain way, and if it isn't, it aint '"for the people", or "you think you're better". Its always the crabs that break up unity and use their social power to downplay anything that requires discipline or skill to help us as a people. Like How they cursed at Nas because he was "too preachy and lyrical" while propping up superficial rappers showing off jewelry.

Same thing with the reparations movement. World War Woke (according to @Nicole0416 ) broke out and everyone from the ADOS/FBA organizations went to war against each other, almost destroying the credibility of the Reparations movement as a whole to black folk that would have been down for it.

The bill was empty. I’ll actually give credit to Jason Black because he’s always on the upswing. He was the first voice in new black media to actually take a look at the bill. Your timeline is a bit off. Between those events, Jason Black did a masterful breakdown of the bill that took it from 'eh, we'll see where this goes' to 'Oh shyt, this is outright nefarious.' Certainly changed my opinion and id already looked over the bill myself.
