I'm not pro-invasion, but just want to point out that large parts of Mexico are already destabilized.
They knew these bozos were gonna make the block hot and sacrificed a couple of their own as a mea culpa. They even left the heads in tact and breathing so clearly it’s business over bullshyt on this one.

On the actual “battlefield” the Cartels can’t even handle the Mexican military/marines when it comes to combat.
Mexicans themselves will explain that to you, but you can just read some of the articles that come out whenever their marines confront the Cartels.
It’s usually something outrageous like 2 marines killed and 28 Cartel members dead.
The only reason their military hasn’t cracked down on the Cartels as hard as they could is because of potential reprisals against their family members.
Look up with they did to the family of the marine who killed “El Barbas”.
They can’t really pull that “come after us and we’ll kill your entire family” BS with US military personnel and know better than to even think otherwise.
Not only that, but US involvement down there isn’t really unprecedented.
When Kiki Camarena was killed and the US didn’t receive the cooperation they wanted from Mexico, they illegally detained one of the conspirators.
Look up Juan Ramon Matta-Ballesteros. He was a black Honduran and the supplier/partner of Felix Gallardo.
The US illegally arrested him in Honduras, flew him to the DR and then “officially” arrested him in Puerto Rico.
His team has been trying to dispute his detainment for years and Uncle Sam just hits them with the

Bro, refresh my memory, how did the southwest come into American possession? Secondly, you are confusing strategic defeat for a tactical one. America only failed in those wars because the political objectives of installing favorable client regimes failed. The Arabs got their teeth kicked in every time they engaged American forces in combat. There's a reason they had to wait America out, rather than expel us by force.
The only reason the Taliban are even in power and not fukking boys in caves is because POTUS made the calculation that the occupation, which lasted for 20 years and was never seriously threatened (no Tet like offensive) was no longer worth the time. America would still be in Iraq if their provisional government had granted the basing rights. But America sucks at nation building. Blowing up shyt is easier than enforcing poorly drawn colonial British drawn borders.
