@Willie csnt you get sued for Nia Long t shirt? I doubt she’d herself but how can anyone make profit on another’s image/likeness without costing you paper?
@Willie
I may be late and you may have already explained. Pardon me, if so…
What’s the concept behind the brand? Whats the meaning behind Canaries? Why do you use the phrase “That’s a awful lot of birds”?
I’d be interested in purchasing a shirt, but I can’t be walking around with words that I don’t know the context to.
Nah man no worries lol
The name itself is a metaphor for community building. Birds build wherever they go. So I use that concept in my clothing to say “hey, wherever we go, we’re going to build something for us”
A Awful Lot Of Birds is a play on Awful Lot of Cough Syrup. But I won’t promote drug use with my medium, so I decided to keep it on brand with birds. It actually works too because if you were to see a community of birds you may say “That’s A Awful Lot Of Birds”.
As of right now we’re partnering with a few different community organizations to really get our feet set. I’d like to host a scholarship for high school kids that want to go to college for design or media and also make it so that they can come do some work with us and get some real hands on experience in the world of small business, fashion and media. All the kids around my area are pushed into football/basketball as “their way out” but only a few people from here have made the NFL. I don’t believe anybody has made the NBA as of yet. So we want to give the kids options they may not be exposed to that they are interested in but don’t have the avenue to express themselves.
I appreciate you asking. Keeps me sharp and reminds me I can't just print shyt because people are gonna want some purpose behind what they wear.
Any plans for incorporating a canary into the branding? That little yellow bird would pop on a plain black hat or as a logo on a hoodie.
When the bottles coming back in?
what would you say about this here? www.oroworld.org, got some samples in yesterday happy with the shirts I’m using right now vs what I was using with different source.I've never really used heat press much but a lot of people around me have. Only thing I've noticed with heat pressed stuff is it'll start cracking a lot faster and a lot more than a screen print. There is a place tho that'll send you your designs for like 20 cents a pop ready to be heat pressed.

I know someone that used them for everything he does. Family reunion shirts and the whole shyt. Gets to charge a nice price all he has to do is the labor.
Advice for me would be start with less color. The more colors you use in your design the more expensive it becomes. Pam was like 9 colors if I printed it nobody has a 9 color press that aint waxing lol
Get a scale and a thermal printer. Get a USPS or FedEx account. Shipping gonna be the biggest thing. Especially if you work. Making it to the post office and waiting in line to pay and shyt takes too much time. Best to just do it at home and do a mass drop.
More importantly just learn your shyt. Its money to be made but you get one shot to win somebody over with clothes. People don't take too many chances when it comes to what they wear, so make sure whatever you sell em is everything you said it was. Then they'll buy you next shyt. More importantly they'll wear it and tell people where they got it from
