Raw viewers up this week but not enough

Considering the fact that Undertaker returned the night before and the show would feature all the fallout from the Battleground pay-per-view (PPV), WWE expected this week's episode of Monday Night Rawto do well in viewership. But while the numbers were up from last week, they were still disappointing.

Indeed, Raw averaged 3.80 million viewers for all three hours, up big from the 3.53 million the week before. Still, the promotion was consistently over 4 million viewers at this time last year.

The hourly breakdown featured a huge drop in the third hour.

Hour one: 3.84 million
Hour two: 4.03 million
Hour three: 3.54 million

So, essentially, they stuck around for the Undertaker-Brock Lesnar brawl -- which was awesome -- but quickly bailed after that. That means they were in for the SummerSlam main event players but not so much for the John Cena-Seth Rollins program that appears to be starting up.

You know what? Put Cena in the final hour..solo..every night for 3 months.

They keep trying to pull these little stunts and games. Test that shyt.

Put him to close every single night. No 6 man tags, nothing. And check the ratings. That way they cant say "oh well Cena was there but so were X,Y,Z and thats why people tuned out". Have Cena prove himself. If ratings go up then the Cena/Dunn '16 ticket can say cenawinslol. And if his segments tank then switch it up. Its bullshyt to fukk with other ppl's careers like that...they need to have a more advanced and consistent testing period for ratings if theyre going to book storylines pragmatically. If they keep shuffling wrestlers across segments, splitting victories and having no direction then they have no way to actually quantify each wrestler's draw. They'll just continue having this dikk measuring contest over talent evaluation ad infinitum. trick ass squares

The casual fan wants Brock vs Taker. Guys like Rollins, Owens etc.. are not appealing to the casual fan and that's not necessarily their fault. Cena has been the number 1 guy for over a decade and it's understandable that he doesn't want to lose that spot. They've never tried building anyone to take his place and that will bite them in the ass one day.

Last night on the Observer radio when they were going over the segment with Undertaker and Brock Lesnar brawling Dave made it a point to say that all the mid carders came out to help break up the brawl. Bryan asked "yeah but I saw Kevin Owens" to which Dave replied "yep that's exactly what they think of him and that was them (wwe management) showing theyre hand".

They basically think that he is going to be a mid carder and they don't think that he is a superstar. Dave pointed out that they made sure that everyone that they're protecting was not out there to break up the brawl so Roman,Dean,Wyatt, Seth, Cena, etc. The top tier talent.

On the previous Bryan and Vinny show the one after Battleground, Bryan said that as long as Kevin Owens is overweight this company will never get behind him and Vince McMahon is still running things. In the past they have gotten big guys over before like Yokozuna but times have changed and Vince no longer things like that no matter how entertaining or how good Kevin is.

Too long didn't read Dave doesn't have much faith in WWE getting behind Kevin Owens.

I only been back watching Wrestling since last year January, I saw CM Punk and was like , this guy is dope.

Cena actually made me stop watching wrestling with the rapper shyt. It just looked clownish to me.

So I haven't seen a lot of burials. When I would hear cats talk bad about the E, usually I'd just be like
"Nah man, Im not gonna doubt Vince."


But I realized, after a year and a half back watching it, this shyt is doomed and fukking retarded and Punk was right to quit.

Kevin Owens is money every time he's on the screen. Honestly I wish he just stayed down in NXT. Wasn't even worth coming up for this nonsense.

When Cena put him in The STF at Battleground, I was like "He'll prolly pass out on some Austin shyt, this is his big moment."

When he tapped, you could tell he didn't want to. You could tell in his mind, because wrestler's have the same conversations as us. I have one friend that wrestled in NXT and another that's close friends with Seth Rollins. They really do talk just like us. You could see that he was thinking "fukk They Got Me Too..." just by the lightness of the taps, the body language was said it all, he went out Monday and tried to get his heat back in that 6 man. But you could see his heart wasn't in it and the magic was lost.


When I seen Cena come out to face Rollins, my heart dropped. I couldnt believe that shyt. I just couldnt believe it. shyt was like an episode of the Twilight Zone. I still cannot believe it honestly. I just keep rewatching it, cause it's like... Are you fukking serious!?!?!? It confirms everything I heard about this nikka being a politicking vampire. shyt blew my mind. I seriously was like yo, I cant watch this shyt no more. They playing us.



I dont know if yall watch The Twilight Zone, but Vince reminds me of Anthony from "It's A Good Life" too much power.

Nyggas were so behind Cena in that WM 28 thread...how does it feel now to look stupid and be wrong? Oh..HE PUT OVER Punk..OH he put OVER BRYAN...yeah but Bryan was undeniable and Punk talked Vince into it. They STILL made sure he headlined during Punk's reign and while Bryan did KICK Cena out of the main event over and over again, injuries took down the most beloved star of this current generation and leaves everything in this endless Cena cycle. Oh..the US title challenge is PRODUCING great matches..yeah but Cesaro still lost in the end. Zahn was damn near squashed...and they didn't continue with the Neville push as they could have. Owens had a GREAT buzz after the first win..he backed up what he said But in true Cena political fashion, he got not only the win back but actually got the tap out on a guy screaming "FIGHT" and who was damn near guaranteeing he would win the title after losing the NXT title to Baylor. When a guy promises that much lose? We call that a F U C K I N G "BURIAL". Get it? Good.

I have a few thoughts I will start with the treatment of NXT stars,

I feel that it is a sad that no fan wants an NXT star to be brought up, cause we know that it will be the end for them. Bo Dallas Adrian Neville are both former champs Bo Dallas held that title for over year and where are the two of them? Being brought up to the main roster seems like punishment for getting over. Ascension such an unnecessary burial. Sasha Bank is the current Diva champ and went out there without her title who does that when does a champ leave their belt backstage , we know thats not a mistake, we know they want to push Flairs daughter and to not overshadow the current divas champ. I think that was 100 percent bullshyt. Seth Rollins the first NXT champ his whole title reign has been hard to watch. Kevin Owen seemed like a glimmer of hope but him being beaten by John Cena twice sends the message that even NXT most over star is nothing on the main roster.

The main flaw with John Cena's character is he losses like 3 times a year and then the next day he gives a promo that negates the fact he lost and then he goes on to dominate. John will never be heel, John will never have a challenge that crushes. He unveils a new move here and there but that's it. Him with the USA title was a perfect chance to build some future stars it didn't it just seem to put him back in the forefront to be the WWE champion.

The NXT stars need to be shown more respect but its not Vinces baby so who cares sad and yeah see you guys next week
