the officer never showed his badge. He should have struck him with an open palm. I think that there is some kind of way that those guys could have beat that officer physically and gotten off. Its their video, there are no other police around or cop cars to have a video. He never showed his badge and the guy was in the right. If he was more clever with his questioning, he could have created a situation where when the police man put his hands on him he could reciprocate the violent gesture and have evidence to prove that he had doubt about this mans legitimacy as a law enforcement officer. But then again, even if the officer said he wasnt an officer, slapped him and then after he got hit back, pulled out a badge, this man would still in the wrong somehow.

A) black people, shut the fukk up... we own nothing, control nothing, are not valued at all in this country, yet we're the loudest ones talking.... it's part of the reason we are arrested and shot so much....

2) learn the law... every black person needs to have his basic rights committed to memory.... know what you can and can't be stopped for, when, where, and why.... it doesn't hurt to already have a lawyer on deck..... every black person needs a family attorney..... learn what information a cop can legally ask you for and under what conditions.... cooperate......... you'll get your chance for payback later.....

C) own something.... we run around this country killing each other and willing to die over streets that we have no legal ownership over.... we need to close our mouths and work hard to OWN the areas we reside in... wealth is power.... ask a jew.....

4) since this guy has already been caught up, he should fight the case...he might very well lose though.... notice his boy left when told to do so.... he wasn't about to be a fool and get caught up too.....

This is a ridiculous view on the situation. So let me get this straight, we supposedly own nothing, control nothing and not valued "at all" in this country, so we deserve to be arrested and shot? What kind of ludicrous opinion is this?

Besides you should not be able to walk up on someone in plain clothes and try to tell them what to do/arrest them unless you're undercover and that person affects, or is your specific target!!!! That was my main gripe with this whole situation...

Yeah that was the strangest thing. I don't know if that cop ever showed his badge, or shown that he was actually an officer.

Now that my rage has subsided, I can see this is an obvious :troll: job.

You were filming a complete non-event of your friend waiting for a friend. He was deliberately drinking an Arizona Iced Tea because of the Trayvon Martin case (mentioned in your video title) and because the can could easily be confused with a Four Loko type drink. Although the officer didn't identify himself, I'd bet you guys knew who he was, as evidenced by your boy making clear eye contact in that direction and suspiciously turning his back to the guy as we hear "Sir".

Walked right into a trap. I like it.

:shaq:

Showed the officer's true colors.

why would you twist and distort what i said to come to that conclusion... of course we don't deserve this type of treatment... i'm saying we need a better strategy than simply mouthing off...

i agree with you there.. that goes back to us not knowing our rights... if this cat knew his rights he would have came out on the winning side of this thing instead of getting arrested....

Don't you guys realize that taking it to court would be very expensive? He doesn't have a job. He's not financially equipped to engage in a long legal battle.

Funny enough I think he would have gotten a better shake if he actually put hands on the cop. The "I didn't know if he was a real cop" defense might have looked beeter. By him actually letting the cop cuff him without the cop even showing his badge makes it harder. Either way this case should have been thrown out easily.

Take it to trail. Too bad the NAACP only fights against "racist" holiday cards now.

He never did, thats what i was saying in my post. He could have ko'd him and claimed that it was self defense as he thought it was a citizens arrest and he wasnt guilty of a crime. He had video evidence. There were 3 black men there at least from my count, all able bodied, one drunk. They could have restrained that man, called the police and had everything on camera. It just seems like there had to be away for all of them to leave the situation with their pride intact and a little glory to boot.

So if he takes it to trial, he loses.
If he doesn't, he loses.

Might as well take it to trial.
