Can we finally put to bed the whole argument of "xyz emcee can't handle a big stage url battle" Because here we have 2 top tier battlers, known for performance, have legendary status on the url, but they had a very underwhelming battle at the "Super Bowl" of battle rap.

I swear this is exactly what I was thinking. This battle isn't ass , but I have no intentions of watching this shyt again.

I thought Hollow vs Lux was underwhelming too but damn I'd be lying if I say I didn't watch that battle a few times.

Smack need to integrate different names on the big stage ASAP. This shyt is starting to get corny.

Two observations:

1. Having watched the battle and thinking back to the pre-reactions on this forum makes me realize how many nikkas in here already have a preferred outcome.

2. Surf was on point in every round. Despite everyones' romantic lust for Holla's first rounds, I think Surf's first was dead even (first watch). Surf's second was fukking incredible. His third wasn't as insane to me (only one watch so far) mainly because it felt like he sacrificed too much of his flow to do something similar to what Aye Verb does.

Yeah I actually think Surf might have won 3-0 honestly. Hitman's first was really dope but Surf had them lines

As far as the whole Hitman/Surf/Tay Roc triangle, I'm noticing a lot of people are wanting to see Roc/Surf next, but I'd rather see Hitman/Roc because it's more of an even match up. I don't even like Surf like that, but he can bring more to the table lyrically than Hitman & Tay Roc can. I just feel style wise, you have to favor Surf (although Hitman was a couple of haymakers away from taking the 2nd round).

If you consider those three in the same lane, the guy who can do more bar wise is gonna come out on top

Nah the remixes are insane , the only suggestion i can give is that Hitman makes a major adjustment, and that's getting back to the Hitman that put on a show without all the "remix" shyt (i.e. vs cortez, big t, ars, verb) and always save the remix for his 3rd to close it out crazy.

Dunno if I'd call it classic. I blame keeping track of what people saying about the battles lol. Expected more but it's enjoyable.

Surf got it.

This made me rewatch Surf's round vs Brixx and none of these rounds like that one .
The Surf we get vs Rock will probably be better than this one off the nameflip potential alone lol.
