Nah I think that Pompeo and friends are behind a lot of this. You have to keep in mind that the intelligence community has recently become #HOC (hard on china) because they realized that there are some fields that China is on track to dominate (5g and Artificial intelligence). Pempeo is a former CIA director and has been the main guy in Trump's ear in regards to dealing with China. Keep in mind that before all the trade wars Trump had a decent relationship with China (he even asked Xi Jinping for help at one point). Yall are really giving Trump too much credit when it comes to decisions involving geopolitics. When it comes to domestic issues it's mostly Trump; Overseas stuff though, that's all Pompeo bar none.

For a lot of those who are enjoying the downfall of TikTok, what y'all fail to realize is most of these influencers are already on a different platform named byte AKA Vine 2.0 and it isn't just the influencers, it's also celebrities who are also on byte as many have made accounts when it got out of beta earlier this year. So basically, they're moved to another platform right on time because if Oracle acquires TikTok before November, the apps value won't as big due to a mass migration to another platform thus meaning less traffic also means less revenue.
