To checkmate Iran. The Saudi's deep down support it which is why they have given us a base there.
40 years ago almost to the day the USA lost hundreds of Marines and Sailors in a barracks bombing in Beirut Lebanon on some helping the French in the Lebanese Civil War bullshyt. This has a chance to end badly.

This actually popped in my head while I was typing my original response
We been hearing for years how elite Israel military is, the world basically gave them a green light to unleash their wrath on a settlement that doesn't even have an official army and they still need daddy to hold their hand every step of the way. Like wth is our ROI on all this military industrial complex shyt

lockheed and raytheon making bank right now, lining up politicians pockets with the same money so they can continue to push for this shyt

The alternative is a nuclear Iran which will run unchecked in the middle east.
Saudi Arabia will also get a nuke if Iran gets one. Iranians (shia's) say they are the true custodians of Islam....once they get the upper hand, it's over for the Saudi's and they know it. MBS cannot wait for this whole Palestine issue to go away so he can focus on Iran but Hamas and Hezbollah are going to make sure it NEVER goes away.
I'm 100% convinced he would have signed a peace deal with Israel if HAMAS didn't pull this move.

U.S. should have withdrawn completely once this started.

The U.S. sent a Marine general and several other military officers to Israel in order to advise the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) on their ongoing campaign
your explanation makes no sense at all....

on one hand you're saying the US should have withdrawn once it STARTED...

indicating that personnel was already there and should have left

then you back up your claim by saying the US sent officers AFTER it started....

c'mon breh... trying to be right just to feel like you not wrong aint the wave

not to mention saying "US troops are in israel" is way different than "the US sent a few officers to advise"

A nuclear Iran would be no different than any of the other countries with nukes. We are creating a boogeyman to enter our troops into more bullshyt. We just got out of a long ass war just to head back into another never ending war.

We shouldn't have sent military over in the first place once it popped off.

And we should not be there at all.

I'm not sure how that's a conflicting statement Breh.

Any military presence from the U.S. is a big deal. No matter if it's a couple generals or 900 support personnel.

That's my whole point.

I'm defending my argument, but at this point I'm not trying to change your mind. It's peace over here.

the US sent officers there to advise on strategies to lower the amount of civilian casualties...

they not over there to provide info to increase deaths

i believe the presence of outside advisers is in the best interest of the citizens of Gaza and the future stability of the region

a war delegation of only israeli persons would have a more subjective view of how the war should be conducted
