The US has bases in Kuwait , iraq, syria, and a strong alliance with Saudi Arabia ( we launched attacks from there in the gulf war and the iraq/Afghanistan war)

Troops have been injured in Iraq and Syria over the last couple weeks, from Iranian drone attacks. Nothing has happened. There won't be any US troops engaged in military conflict in Israel, Gaza, etc.
