Conflate State capitalism with socialism brehs

Nah,I specified the main difference PROFIT, they both have state control of corporations but in state capitalism (China) they run it for maximum profit whereas in state socialism (Venezuela) they run it to maximize some imaginary virtue called social good...

which probably sounds really awesome at those Bernie speeches but in real life a criminal elite usually ends up ruling and deciding what "social justice" actually means and the whole enterprise soon descends into corruption, mismanagement and :feedme:

A study published in January by sociologists Thomas Hirschl of Cornell University and Mark Rank of Washington University paints a much more nuanced picture. They use data from the government-sponsored Panel Study on Income Dynamics (PSID), which interviewed thousands of families from 1968 through 2011 to understand how these families’ economic fortunes evolved over time. The data paints a picture of a fluid economic order.

PSID data show that by age 60:

– 70% of the population will have experienced at least one year within the top 20th percentile of income;

– 53% of the population will have experienced at least one year within the top 10th percentile of income; and

– 11.1% of the population will have found themselves in the much-maligned 1% of earners for at least one year of their lives.

The problem isnt the gap ..its giving everyone a fair shot at closing it..Mobility,

In fact the gap gets so big because the Government protects the interest of the elite and makes that gap even worse with barriers like regulation,licencing,taxation,intellectual property laws,minimum wage laws and wealth transfer programs

Compare a country that is solely reliant on oil for its economy during a period where the market is being flooded with oil to a country like America brehs.

Lets ignore the success of diversified socialist democracies like Sweden though, right OP?
