But, you socialiats will claim any socialist countries utter failures are somehow the fault of capitalism.:mjlol:.

Venezuela just exists in a vacuum, completely isolated from global capitalism & destabilization efforts huh :heh:
Leftist movements & countries have been just completely isolated from the West supporting coups & assassinations of (Black/Brown/indigenous) leftists @ home & abroad for decades :banderas:

Payments accepted Obamacare,paypal and livestock
Compare a country that is solely reliant on oil for its economy during a period where the market is being flooded with oil to a country like America brehs.

Lets ignore the success of diversified socialist democracies like Sweden though, right OP?

Ah,someone had to bring up the Scandinavians...here are some facts Sweden ,Norway and all those countries are NOT socialist economically..they are strongly capitalist.. thats why they can produce huge surpluses to feed the socialist policies
They are socialist politically which works for small homogeneous groups ... Thats why the larger diverse nations like the UK and Germany cant do the same thing

You are guilty of conflating socialism and communism. A centrally planned economy is communism. A socialist state will still operate under capitalist economics, but capitalism is supposed to serve the people instead of the top 1%. The Nordic model is exactly what Bernie espouses, free market capitalism with a comprehensive welfare state and collective bargaining. He is actually less radical than the Nordic model and is closer to a Germany.

The gibberish that only a homogenous society can operate under socialism is simply a red herring.
Also the UK and Germany are definitely socialist in the vein Bernie would like to steer us. They just haven't gone as far as the nordic model.

Germany mandates that half of a board of directors for a company be elected by the workers. Germany has high taxes, universal health care, universal college education, great infrastructure and government control of the banks. This is a socialist model. The corporate structure of having workers share control is beneficial because it promotes strategic buy-in to the mission and goals of the company. It also allows competitive advantage because profit can be wrapped back into the company rather than going to shareholders.

:mjlol::russ: Stop. The fact that you attribute a centrally planned economy to communism invalidates your entire post.

This is called social democracy, state oversight and management, or CENTRALLY PLANNED

Germany mandates that half of a board of directors for a company be elected by the workers.

This is Quasi socialism, however still fall far from the mark.

Capitalism was never meant to serve anyone besides the owners of the means of production or the 1%

The fact that you all are deflecting that Bernie advocates for a social democracy is absurd.
A social democracy is defined as a socialist system of government achieved by democratic means. Try actually looking up terms instead of spewing your own ignorance. Capitalism and Socialism are NOT mutually exclusive.

Also, in Communist states the ENTIRE economy is centrally planned, there is no private ownership or capitalism. Supply or demand is purely determined by the government. Communism and Capitalism ARE mutually exclusive. (China isnt Communist in practice)

Okay, well school me. I studied political theory. Is it because I'm conflating communism as marxism? cus otherwise I'm spot on as far as socialism.

You call communism "centrally planned" :snoop:

No, it means that the means of production are publicly owned, through democratic control. That means that the economic control of a country is fundamentally decentralized down to the individual person.

You call a social democracy "a socialist state"

No it is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a capitalist economy, and a policy regime involving collective bargaining arrangements, a commitment to representative democracy, measures for income redistribution, regulation of the economy in the general interest and welfare state provisions.

That doesn't sound very socialist to me
