sorry man. if you don’t understand that Mary j Blige has hip hop classics (Real Love, I Can Love You, Jamboree) where she never raps a bar, then we’re never gonna get anywhere with this debate.

all those folks are 100% hip hop, fwiw. the culture is just being expressed in a different format.
No doubt.

@mobbinfms you're my fam on here since day one, but I think if you really think about it, you might see Mary J, Aaliyah, and a lot of those artists as being just as hip-hop as anyone else.

why were so many dudes on stage :what:
The prospect of any clout whatsoever makes people do anything they can.

Anything to get a taste of anything. Even if it's just being in the background of a live stream online, or being on the same stage as anyone with any status or clout.

Clout chasers, vultures, and weed carriers.

cam was trash!!!

jimmy and juelz held it down..
:dahell:
Juelz got embarrassed up there multiple times. He couldn't remember a 4 bar hook to one of New York City's most iconic anthems. He got his bandana snatched off his head and thrown on the ground. He stupidly threw up an alley oop to Jadakiss for a 6-song run by The Lox that put the final nail in the coffin for Dipset. He either forgot all of his words to S.A.N.T.A.N.A. or just didn't care enough to say any of them. He was dressed exactly like it was 2005. He got picked on for his missing teeth. At one point he just laid down on the stage like:deadrose:. Juelz gave off more "I don't want to be here right now" vibes than anyone else on the stage.

I thought Cam started real bad and at least made an effort to take it more seriously once he realized they were getting washed. I at least was impressed that Cam started treating it like an event worth respecting and an actual competition. Juelz and Jim Jones never got off the ground.

Styles and Sheek held it down. Styles seemed a little drunk and forgot a couple bars here and there, but all 3 Lox members remembered bars to songs they likely hadn't performed in years. I mean the DJ threw up 6 girlie joints back to back and for the most part none of them forgot any bars.

Even though Jada was the star of the entire event last night, at least Styles and Sheek were in shape physically and vocally to perform a live show. No one from Dipset seemed conditioned enough mentally or physically to be up there. Forgetting all the bars and basically lip syncing over their own vocals.

It was a bad look.
