Mandatory is not excellent esp if you are running low on space. It's not just games people will keep on their hard drives fam (music, tv shows, movies - althought I'd be very skeptical to keep these on their with the MPAA and RIAA watching)
Optional is great and I will definitely do this for the PS4 which will more than likely have the same option, but mandatory?

not only did that game force you to install at various sections it was slow as shyt. nothing in the XDK does it say it installs the entire game, even if it did you can play while it installs

already said the always online thing is a cyse. It's not that big of a deal if it's used the same way it is for PS Plus members to get patches, updates, and cloud saves. I'm more worried about mandatory kinect and being online.
if they wanted to spy on your living room it wouldn't matter whether the kinect is mandatory or not. And just because ps eye is not manditory doesn't mean Sony isnt spying on you.
What you doing is creating faux concerns in order to place the Durango in a negative light.
This document is an advertisement to developers encouraging them to develop for the kinect because it will be a standard feature. Nothing more nothing less.
