I get it that Democrats have issues and to be honest both parties have major issues....

But why go full Republican? Why does it have to be one or the other? These folks coulda helped to grow the independent party. I hate that we treat politics like baseball teams im not one or the other.....there are things im conservative about and things im liberal about....

I don't even share the same beliefs and ideas with all of my own family and friends how could i possibly align myself to be fully identified with ideologies of total strangers?

If we’re talking a political spectrum, I’d probably be more right of the center than left :manny:

I try to be conservative with my money, I guess I’d be considered conservative when certain social issues like the black family, homosexuality/LGBT and sex is brought up, and when it comes to my fashion, I’m not flamboyant. So, I guess with that I’d be considered conservative as well. I admire my elders, such as Mr Cosby, and what he says. I also consider America my home.

I won’t vote Republican, though.

Majority of these self proclaimed “black conservatives” are off, though. IMO, they’re ashamed of their blackness and would essentially prefer to be in the white community. In fact, I’d say 99% of them in the public eye are off and want to be white or lose their blackness.

Maybe this is a Philly thing lol but your post describes me 1000%. The I don't share all the same beliefs with my family and friends so how can I be down with complete strangers is super true. Hell I think that's why I end up going back and forth with so many on here and irl because of how I am. If I'm not agreeing with my closest people how you think I'm going to come at cats I don't even really care about?

This makes a lot of sense too. Do you ever think you're just scarred to say you're a "black conservative" because of the stigma? Just saying sounds like you're one but don't want to be lumped in with the last paragraph of cats. I understand that completely if that's why. Like I said without racial problems it would be two main crews as it is now just less blacks imo afraid of embracing what labeling themselves as a conservative entails.

Not watching

Did they say what the GOP is going to do for black people? This is my problem with black conservatives. If you want to vote that way, then fine, but putting down black people publically in front of whites, and offering no solutions is ridiculous.

They can’t even tell us what the GOP has done for poor whites.

You literally said not watching then proceeded to make an assumption and tear down a group of people. This is not how you have a healthy discussion.

Both parties suck. One is filled with openly racist rednecks the other under cover racist pedos and homosexuals, corrupt bankers, and pyramid scheming fake woke negroes who would sell their own mothers for a Clinton or :obama: co-sign :scust:

Think like an immigrant act like an American :yeshrug:

What does wanting to be a part of the black community entail then if frequenting the same spaces as other black people doesn’t do it for you?

I am not sure -- I understand your question. But, being apart of the "black community" doesn't have to mean literally living in a Black community -- but many of us do -- and have all of our lives.

It entails - caring about, supporting, advocating for -- Black people in general.

Especially, those Black people in America who are descendants of the enslaved -- who the United States have historically - legally and illegally - aided in our past and present situation in this country.

If you are against them, not advocating for -- or supporting them -- and not fighting for policies and redress to help them and their communities.

Then I would see them as an "independent Black conservative" -- cause they don't really care about the Black community. They don't want to be apart of it -- and think the blame is directly on the BC - not on the history and polices of this country.

Hell I'm just saying you goin pretty ham for them tokens in tha op.:sas1:
Cause I’m tired of certain political parties trying to bully people

If they’re conservative they’re conservative. Just like with religion and diet mind your own business. If you don’t agree keep it moving. People type shyt on here regarding politics I don’t agree with all the time and I scroll past it without attacking their character or blackness

Did you even watch the video? They referenced the Democrats failing the BC several times

As a younger cat, I can easily admit there was a fear.

Now, I don’t give a damn. I know with all the work I’ve put in, and continue to put in for my community that no ones words could take that away. Plus, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that we’re all different.

Plus, as I’ve aged, I’ve realized I don’t really fit into any of these white man political groups. For example, while i do believe in personal accountability, I also know that the situation that were in is mostly done by white supremacy. So, while I may believe in personal accountability, I also believe that this country needs to implement a UBI and New Deal policies for AA’s. That stretches political lines, which is why I can’t consider myself apart of one particular party.

To be a black conservative or liberal, do you have to align yourself tightly with dems or repubs?

Like why do they go so hard to fit in with their white counterparts, it will forever look like c00ning to me

my biggest problem with black conservatives. There are plenty of black folks out there with liberal views who constantly criticize the Democratic party or didn't vote for Hillary.

Never met a black Conservative who didn't defend everything Trump did.

Maybe it speaks to the culture of both parties. Republicans tend to go all in, ride or die, while younger Democrats seem to be more rebellious
