:beli: he took Biggies rhymes and changed the words a bit that's all

the banks version isn't seeing BIG's version of course, but he didn't take any lines from BIG, what are you talking about? which lines?

I'm pretty sure nikkas bringing up Banks and Pap are trolling y'all. Victory is a timeless hip hop classic and those B.I.G verses are arguably the greatest verses ever. I remember the first time I heard the song and heard B.I.G start flowing "In the commission, you ask for permission to hit him," I was :whoo: off that alone. Big destroyed that beat.

Anyone know who wrote Puff's verses? Biggie seems the obvious one, but I hear Jadakiss when I listen to it.

Kiss and Biggie wrote Diddy's verse. The 1st Diddy verse sounds like Kiss but the 2nd verse sounds like Big. As soon as I heard, "You know the sun don't shine forever but as long as it's here than we might as well shine together", that sounds like something Kiss would say.

LMAO @ a fukkin' freestyle being better than the original song. I can't even blame that on age, because nikkas still got ears and comprehension skills. Dudes either trollin' or crazy.

And yeah, the Tyson/Jackson/Jordan line might seem :flabbynsick: if you look at them today, but that's about it. That line still holds weight, because only a little kid doesn't know what those three names symbolized when they were in their prime. All athletes and musicians eventually reach that point where they ain't the shyt anymore, but those three definitely had more than a hot couple years so their legacies ain't goin' anywhere.

off top i can't remember any lines he takes wholesale but there's no denying the fact that he took BIG's cadence & entire steez for the song & recreated it with G Unit rhymes & some nice punchlines. i wont say he did the same flow because Banks can't flow that well from what i've heard but it's not like he came completely original and made it his own, the whole Banks version is built around remaking the OG with 50 talking shyt at the start, Bank's cadence and style of lyrics & everything else.

i don't even like banks, but his verse and BIG's verses aren't similar at all, no cadence, not one line bitten or anything, you won't be able to point out one line...50 took puffy's entire verse cadence and style wise though, maybe that's what your mixing it up with cuz nothing in banks verse resembles BIG's first or second verse.

This was Puffy's masterpiece song here. If you even consider it a Puffy song. I think anyone who listens to this knows that this was all BIG here. This is one of the greatest songs ever in rap. I still listen to this song at least once a month to this day.

And anyone who is saying Banks version is better is either a teenager a G-Unit groupie or just plain dumb. Banks had a decent freestlye while Biggie's version could have his two greatest verses ever.

Just imagine what biggies third album would have sounded like if these were his last 2 verses (4 with the puffy ghost writing). He was just hitting that creative peak.

Simply amazing.

That 50 version of the first puff verse is perfect too.

I would the best BIG track in terms of raw lyricism and flow. Dude blacked out on it. When it comes to heads hyping Biggie as GOAT this what comes to mind when making that case. I wonder if he wouldve keep it at this pace if he would have lived.
