No Malice knows the feds watchin'

And this is my only problem.

Former Clipse Manager Gets 32 Years for Drug Conspiracy | Vibe

They didn't mention "Geezy" one time.

Like a month after we get this news, we get the video with Malice talmbout; "I live a regular life, I only have one car and I do not sell drugs."

But, we get this dramatic story about how he had women, a big chain and car and was :hmm: and just changed. He sound like Rev Run talmbout sitting in a jacuzzi with mad weed and figuring he was bored with the fame and crazy life.

I'm all for positivity, but; duke you got scare after ya manager got 30 for dope and you wanted to run away from that drug dealer image quick as a muh'.

The strong minded folks who know who they are aren't susceptible to be affected by the negative type music. But we got alot of weak minded kids who were raised not by parents but by entertainment. I have the perspective to have been a former teacher and see the affect that Lack of parental guidance plus trying to be like entertainers does on young black kids. Just like Malice said, white kids can listen to the music and go about their biz, but black kids that are LIVING in those environments dont have the tools or the foundation to not internalize it.
The coli and most websites eat up this Chiraq type shyt because at the end of the day they either are detached economically or have enough sense to not take the shyt serious......and least be honest, most are cacs.
 U actually made his (@BarNone) point. The constant between white and black, poor kids is rap music. The differences are their real environments.

And you make his point, again, by insinuating that "CACs" are entertained by it because they are economically detached.

Not once...not once..did he say that hip hop was the SOLE cause for impoverished Black and Brown youth killing each other in the hoods of the U.S. I'm sure he understands that the environment that Blacks are in are what makes them more susceptible to be influenced by the negative images portrayed in hip hop music. You're speculating. And he doesn't have to be a qualified sociologist to speak on what he believes on and why it led him to choose the path he's on right now. You're really taking a much more cerebral approach to what he stated in this interview than needed.

I can't stand when ppl say that.

Black people aren't experts on black people just by virtue of being a black person.

Like, @BarNone, violent crime throughout America during the Golden Age of Hip-Hop (mid to late 80s) was ridiculous compared to the time coinciding with the rise of Chief Keef (now). Check the numbers, chief. What changed the violent crime rate? Events in society, not Rap music.

Rappers can't rap about environments and experiences that don't exist somewhere. These dudes ain't no George Lucass', Gene Roddenberrys' or Stan Lees' making up fictional universes where people sell drugs, get murked and go to jail. People are really outchea slangin', they really do have access to high powered weapons in poor neighborhoods and no one questions why this is even allowed to exist in the first place.

Blame the music, but it's art whether you like it or not, and some of them are unwittingly telling the truth about what it is. Just because it's better articulated by movies and tv shows doesn't make it less credible :yeshrug:

Man, stop. Some of the dopest rappers, from cormega to nas, keep true to their environment without spreading poisonous rap. They create stories about the hood that are authentic and thought provoking. They don't bask in the shyt and promote genocide. These new nikkas aren't rappers. They're just puppets to spread poison in the black community. Unfortunately, black leadership has been co-opted, leavin the people with no credible voice of protest.

I'm just glad that it seems like more and more ppl are finally seeing how destructive rap music is. Hopefully one day we'll take a stand collectively and no longer tolerate being forcefed this shyt. @Uncle Grime. you a damn fool if u don't think this devil music is deep when it comes to how it affects us especially

Lemme ask you something...

When do you think rap music became "destructive"?

People don't express themselves in the same way. Nas and Cormega aren't the standard

There's no black community anymore and that's not rap or hip-hop's fault.

Nah, this is what happens when you got street dudes who try to make rap into a hustle. Instead of having talented and creative artists who love Hip Hop and make all kinds of different music that isn't always about killing or selling dope. So only the criminal element of the community got the biggest voice. The Clipse were no different. The most classic albums are gangster/street albums. It's not like KRS ONE wasn't speaking about that shyt way back then.

I was just disappoint to find out they was standing on the corner pumpining dime bags of crack.

:damn:I thought they was Movin dem keys breh
Lol...man Clipse were some regular nikkas in VA Beach. They didn't have any street rep. They hung with whiteboys in high school.

They were definitely affiliated with some big time hustlers though...a lot of it was familial connections. They were talented enough to tell those dudes stories and make it compelling.

That's part of why they never got much home town love. They're some suburban dudes from Kempsville and they shot the Grindin video in Tidewater Park projects in Norfolk, like they be out there. :heh: A lot of people in the 757 felt a way about that.

I never gave a fukk about any of that. They made hot music, so I always supported. :manny:

I doubt he is faking it cuz if he was I doubt he'd manage to get it past more stron and founded individuals in the faith like Lecrae and the Reach Team
